MemberOvomorphApr-20-2012 2:37 AMI hope you don't find this thread annoying, since we haven't yet seen the film. So we wouldn't really know about what a potential PC or console game might contain...And yet...
I would already love the idea of a related video game might be already in the works.
Would you fancy that?
What type of a game should it be? A role-playing? A strategy one ? A first person shooter? A hybrid of all?
Do you believe potential Prometheus movie plot, could sustain the making of a great video game? Should the game follow the movie script exactly, or maybe expanding the Prometheus universe?
Would that really help to relive the experience or it would spoil the fan's magic?So ultimately, what would you like the game to look like, according to what we know so far?
I, for one, would love it to have great cinematic in-betweens and when it comes to shooting, turning into a first person or thrid...I wouldn't mind. Also, the music will have to be original (by the same composer of the film score). Sound effects too!

MemberOvomorphApr-20-2012 3:27 AMI would like to see a MMO. Being able to get a group of friends together and visit different planets and research. Perhaps picking out a certain field you want to be in. Maybe a group of miners? scientists? military? Just make it a HUGE roaming game. Something that you can immerse yourself in.

Hopefully it will continue having incredible graphics and in-between cinematics...World wide web mmo....intriguing!And it has a point...let's hope the actual plot of Prometheus when it comes out, will help support such a game!

You will locked on "rails" with 1 single pre-determined path, and you will simply have to flail your arms about mindlessly.
Oh, and there should be a "Dance Number" bonus level where will have to bust moves against 2 Blue Meanies while a Xenomorph will jump in every so often to try and break your rythmn.

I also got me a couple of one or two good ideas...hehe
What about using the kinect and try to make your way between sleeping blue guys or even better, xenos....hideous ones...trying not to touch them or wake them up by a foolish move....or...be given a survival suit , suitable for beating xenos...and try to fight them off...that would be really relaxing.....:)

MemberOvomorphApr-20-2012 11:37 AMagain, as long as they are intelligent enough to include a 3rd person option for it I will embrace it with open arms. IMO this is the single Biggest Mistake that Kills some Franchises even before they even have a chance to succeed, because, they simply weren't smart enough to realize how useful and significant having a 3rd person game play option is, and this is the VERY thing that has Stopped the KILLZONE franchise dead in it's tracks from being ten times more popular than it is, as well as many many other games online and off. To me NOT including this option in ANY shooter..is nothing less then Mental Retardation as far as business sense goes.

That was a FPS with a Survival Horror element it was like say a Doom/Half Life Meets Silent Hill/Resident Evil.
The plot actually has some simularities to Prometheus/Alien/Aliens.
There is a Alien Virus that changes victims DNA changes them into various kinds of creatures like The Thing. One Survivor places a Becon and then a Military Ship investigates and goes down there.

@BigDave:NIcely put. This is what I had in mind, just about, when I was starting the thread. And given the known plot so far, it could give birth to an outstanding shooter....

With interplanetary travel and elements of "warcraft" style quest driven stuff as well as shoot em up "go kill the aliens and interrupt their sequence" and all kinds of blends of play for different folks ideas of play...would be massive. Just make it HUGE...and varied. in both play and style...
