SJs punish humans by turning them into Xenos

Just My humble opinion...I think you are very close...I think the punishment was that they enacted the encoding for the "Xenomorph" species in one or more of the URNS or VIALS if you will that I believe are stolen and then brought on board Prometheus. They do this AFTER they are stolen I believe somehow {and I think it will be done Telepathically or via some machine} as to Punish mankind I also believe, but it is ONLY when they, the crew, start tinkering with them on board that the severity of what they have done begins to reveal itself. Just MY view on it, could be way way off in the end and do not care if I am because I will love it no matter what, except if there is any "Teen Vampire Angst" in it. LOL.

@Spartacus, The urn encoding is more interesting/original to me, as far as the Prometheus myth goes, than if the SJs directly punish the crew for their infractions. The SJs rigs the xeno-doom powder keg, but they don't actually light the fuse--the crew does. Human hubris and the urge to stick our hands in the Cookie Jar of Science gets us in the end, rather than the aliens. Of course, that's not to say the SJs won't do horrible things to individual crew members along the way.

All this is set up by Weyland looking for immortality, which causes the crew and david to steal things about which they know nothing, so thereby setting off chains of events---confusion, death, decay, fighting and wanton killing ensue.
