hes down as Shaw's father...which is my point...does one of the cast play / become / is the engineer...and theyre not telling us (clearly a spoiler if tey did)..hmmmm

well, he was listed as "cocooned man" last year - before they changed his title...that's what set everyone off. Plus, if he's the original engineer, then he is "Shaw's father" in a sense. He would be the father of us all, right? Now someone's gonna come by and shut this down for being a repetitive thread... ; p (also, check out the trailer scene with the image of a hologram-like man running down a cave/hallway, see if it reminds you of nightowl running in the Watchmen)

but we know for sure he is Shaw's father...the young girl Lucy ?? is playing Shaw as a child...so it doesnt add up. If he was the original engineer (how many children must he have??)...then just coincidence that Elizabeth Shaw discovers the pictograms and ends up on a mission 'back home'? Sounds bobbins, and implausible...but hey, Lindelof is involved...
Weyland / David - thats where my money is...or they just left off a third rate actor playing the engineer in mo cap.

I expect they weren't casual about any aspect of how they portrayed the SJ/Engineers. I would imagine they spent more than a fair amount of time working out how they move, their gestures, etc., because body language says a lot about any character.
