What about the fog thing? No derelict on LV-426!

Remember the good ol' fog in the 1979 film, that used to cover somehow and protect the eggs? I am sure you do!John Hurt must have for sure! Well it somehow covered the eggs and when somebody or something moved through it, it reacted to motion...actually made sounds of proximity alert, like those used by today's cars! Another contribution of sci-fi films to the world!....
That would either mean two things:
1) "Hey guys...there's a new kid in town...let's host him!". A trap.I am sure you know what I mean.
2) "Hey guys...wake up...there's a new threat for our egg-plant.Let's disable him". Simply instinctive protection mechanism. No trap. I am sure you know what I mean again.
So the eggs would reamain unresponding if the fog wasn't there to trigger them somehow and alert them to the presence of other beings around.
So we all wondered back then: "Are these natural beings?" Nobody would have thought then, not for an instant, that these things could have been engineered and not being natural creatrures. To tell the truth...nobody really cared. We were all stunned. We just accepted them as what they were. There it is again..lost in my thoughts. Sorry!
Ok, back to the topic. So certainly these eggs were not planted in there by themselves. Someone else did it.We perceived the mechanical surroundings as proof that these were somehow in he domain of the derelict spaceship and the sj. What was that guy doing there? Did he created the eggs and layed them carefully in the cave below the ship? Did he find the eggs and covered the entrance to the cave with the ship. For one, we weren't sure if this was a derelict or just landed there.Whether it was a weapon or not? Nobody cared. Whether it was a survival defense mechanism...sure. It was all in the fog. Had to be something with a piece of technology producing it. So the eggs were either planted there and protected by the fog. A defense mechanism. For what reason though? Well, the overall impression left by the film, was that the eggs were under control of the sj, and that this fog kept them alive and numb. They would not evovle in the eggs to something else. They were somehow in hybernation by the fog. The unlucky visitor who would disturbed the fog would wake them up to do whatever we show.
And apparently this sj guy somehow got impregnated or let himself get impregnated to watch their life cycle..but as possessing superior technology managed to figure out the outcome, soon enough, just enough to allow him to send the distress signal...remember? Warning...not distress signal. "Don't land here you...or you'll suffer the same fate as i have".
Also the structure in the cave with the eggs, shows that the sjs had already a base there, laid the eggs there and the ship was in direct communication with the entrance of the cave. Or found the eggs there and meticulously crafted a structure throughout the cave to study or keep them.
Which leads us to the following conclusion:"We are the Gods now..." umh...sorry.Got carried away...It proves that there was no derelict! No force landing...no damage apparent in the alien ship on LV-426. It was a totally full base camp of the sjs like the one we show on Prometheus trailer...This is a normally landed in tact sj spaceship. Just the control was lost at some point...But this guy also seemed very lonely. Perhaps one was enough for running an entire planet base. Who knows?.
Well I have solved no mysteries.Just following clear thinking. And based on solid data from the first film.
Just hoping that you will have fun reading this and find it inriguing. Tell me what you think. I will elaborate and develop this theory some further at some time. Thanks guys.
