I too think this is a bad move in light of our social media driven culture! That's why I will be stopping my visits here as of May 1st. I know the movie is still over a month away, but to avoid any pre-release spoilers I figure this will be the best plan. I will also be having to unlike and unfollow this site from Facebook and Twitter to cease any and all leaks too. As well as avoiding Facebook and Twitter all together for that week before so my European friends can't mess it up for me either. But rest assured after I get to see it on June 8th, I will be re-liking/following and be back here to join in the fun of all the Prometheus after talk!!

I'm going to have to travel a couple hundred kilometers to see it anyways, I don't think my local theater is showing it at all!

Big deal. I'm in Copenhagen and Avengers is playing in theaters here today. Not going to see it because I don't speak Copenhaggish, but there you are. Film studios release movies in different countries at different times. In this case it probably has something to do with soccer or some shit that Americans don't care about. Opening late in America just means that you'll have plenty of time to find a pirated copy online before it opens. Just a way for studios to create more buzz for the product launch.

Well thats such a shame lol... What the Mighty USA should have the rights to have everything first? Its not often that a movie is released in another country prior to the USA, it does not happen often. I dont see the big deal. This is not me saying anything against the US, just gets me that how can some think the World Should Revolve around the USA. Its only a week, and i am sure people wont spill beans but i guess they may and all you have to do is avoid places like this untill after you see the movie. Dont forget The Thing was shown in the USA a fair way before it hit the UK, and on websites like this about the The Thing there was people from the USA who was giving away spoilers and such.

Yeah i mean no offence to the USA... My point is that for years the US gets to see movies before the UK and other parts of the World. And some in UK will have seen US fans spill beans about many a movie in the past and so i think as we know what that can to, i would like to think we would be respectfull and not spoil the movie for those across the sea. Then again 7 days is not long, 7 days you can just not look on the net for Prometheus related gossip. If it was like a month or so then yes i could understand a reason to be upset and potentially worried that by the time the movie comes out, the truth about the movie and plot would be spilled everywhere.
