Is Sir Peter Weyland Alive?

I've been pondering this for awhile, even before the "infamous" TED talk viral video, but since checking out the weyland industries corporate timeline on their site I'm convinced Sir Peter is dead. I'm referring to the highlight in the timeline which proclaims the building of The SPW Memorial Library in Washington, D.C. on July the 23rd of 2065. Anyone else catch that? If this topic has been debated and construed beyond all measure on another thread feel free to merge this one.
