I'm trying to track down where the source image of the Fassbender photo is from.

Hmmmm... love the logo but their post "Yutani is breeding murderers! They must be stopped!" seems too hokey to be legit. And the face looks to be shooped.

Now two overly dramatic updates within an hour? This strikes me more as fan shenanigans than the slow burn viral campaign we've seen thus far. edit: Aaaaand now they've been deleted. Either this is the worst managed element of the official viral campaign or some overzealous fan screeching for validation.

They're also editing the comments, removing posts.

They are simulating a "hacking attack" of Yutani's site. Like RIGHT NOW!!!!

@abordoli, the pic. with the 6 circles looks like to me, a microscope, out of focus shot of 2 human eggs with a needle penetrating the egg on the right.

Now they've got someone from "marketing" trying to create some realism: "As an investor of Weyland Industry and related entities, I am very disturbed by this breach. If you can't control something as primary as your social networking, who are we to assume anything is safe in the corporation. Stock has already dropped 1/10 of a point, which I'm certain I don't need to point out is the first drop in stock price in over six months. Lets get this ship in order. I can't wait to get my new David unit, let me know when the glitch is fixed."

Sorry no, I just copy/pasta'd it. I didn't think they'd be that quick actually deleting it. There's no official (to the viral campaign, that is) Weyland corp. facebook page, is there? All the ones I could find were undoubtedly fan made (very few likes and generally amateurish in execution). I think that's another strike against this Yutani page being legit. So far all the viral stuff has been pretty tightly linked together and well managed (not to mention originating from official sites, not purely from social media). This Yutani page is just floating off by itself and not really interacting in any meaningful way with the other stuff. Sure it name checks the other stuff (happy birthday David, etc.) but none of the other elements of the campaign ever acknowledge it back. Not to mention it doesn't make much sense. Implying David 8 is a Yutani product? What, but not David 1-7? And that he's some how 'bred" and not build. They announced the merger of Weyland and Yutani mid-March but none of the other viral stuff indicates this has happened yet. Amateur hour. I'm highly skeptical of this site.

Well it would make sense if he wasn't a full robot, but more of a cyborg, and match up with the other motifs of the film, and further explain his meddling with shaw and the alien technology etc. Also 8 is a rotated math infinity symbol pretty much. Whilst some might think thats a bit of a stretch, just remember Lost. Thats what Lindelof specialised in, symbols, mythology, and wild goose chases. It took one facebook page for people to second guess months (a year) of their time spent trying to figure out what happens in the movie. I think thats a good achievement. Roll on the new trailer tomorrow night and June 1st (i have that week off work so will see it a few times)
