April 29, 2012I think, correct me if I'm wrong that they actually mentioned getting back and forth with the script for about 6 weeks until Ridley said OK. So they must have improved.
The thing with LOST and these other conspiracy/mystery series or movies, is that they can grab your attention and keep you interested for maybe 2 or 3 seasons at the most, but then you kind of get tired of all these excessive twists, time travel and plotholes. And when you finally want to see the finale or climax, all the hype and expectation is so high that even the best of endings can feel weak.
Anyway, I must confess I was grabbed by LOst at first. My guess is that the writers /producers were more worried about surpising people rather than complete and tell a great story.
