Thanks been hearing decent reviews for this film. Youve sparked my interest ill give it a shot

What's it about?

Not a bad flick. I saw it in theaters, but with no real expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. I have to say though, I don't remember/didn't spot the Nostromo shirt!

Have to say, I'm glad I didn't spend money on it. Fell asleep once or twice, so I might have to re-watch bits and pieces. But my opinion so far, it's a highschool movie with superpowers woven into it. SFX are acceptable, has some deeper social aspects, that's about it.

@allinamberclad: a group of teens stumbles upon an alien crash site and they gain telekinetic powers that they harness over time, but of course it all goes wrong for one of them who was picked on/abused and uses this power out of rage. @Hal9000: the social aspects of the characters and why they went down the path they did was what I thought was interesting. It definitely isn't a movie to buy, but I enjoyed it. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to movies though. I can usually find something positive to take away from any movie.

Ever since "Blair Witch" there has been a glut of derivitive offshoots, using the same old tired Documentary style production techniques. I find it juvenile and boring.

@ Dave_b: Agreed. Cloverfield did the rest for me and I was hoping it wouldn't develop into a trend. Sadly, we're not out of the woods yet, although "The Blair Witch Project" was great at the time, for a while.

i'm still scared by the blair witch..... i woke up drunk (exceedingly) in the cinema to all of this screaming and wailing (the long scene where the girl is running through the woods) at a midnight showing to find this awful ugly fat girl (huge, a whale) next to me who i mustve gone with. i just upped and left. shudder

yes. it's a "found footage" film but it's well made and is 1:20" so there is no harm done. could be from the scyfi channel but is very decent in a world where decent movies are hard to find.

nothing new. 3 guys stumble upon a extraterrestrial hole in the ground and start to develop telekinetic powers but one of the was bullied all the time so he starts to lose it and goes rogue. has nice pace. no drama nor long stupid takes

also check out "The Divide" This one is a bit too long but has michael biehn on it. and enough with the apochalyptic shit already. kinda cruel if you ask me. specially if it could happen since the assholes in control are so trigger happy.... o.O
