"Gods" vs "The big bang"

" i was wrong,You were so wrong" Could this be about how we all began? how we all started? I mean, Shaw and Halloway are believers in a higher power"God" and believe they are going to meet their creators. Is it that they are proved that there is no God and just the big bang? Going by the big bang theory, these Sj's would just be another civilisation that spawned just like us.A much more advanved civilisation by all accounts! In all civilisations there is war and maybe some sort of war has left the planet in this sort of state-lifeless until we come along! Im starting to think that the guy at the waterfall is some sort of "i am legend" type deal and this probably occured long before the prometheus arrived on the planet: a sort of prologue. The black goo being some sort of "dark matter" or "gravitational glue" that scientists talk about with the big bang theory. anyways im rambling...please discuss.

No one ever claimed the SJ's were Gods, just highly advanced biological engineers.

I think the problem is "only" regarding human evolution ... darwinism , Bible , etc , not about the creation of everything . PS Halloway and Shaw dont share the same faith ... Shaw belive in God , Halloway in science ...two very different point of views .

With regards to the movie they actually come to the conclusion that Shaw and Holloway are correct.... Thats before the "£$ hits the fan, and so i think the we was wrong is purely to do with either the intentions of the Engineer race, or that maybe indeed they find they never created us... who knows. As far as God vs Big Bang. Well the God Stories all have very common elements, even with different cultures who had no contact with each other. Many of these could kind of imply they could be Alien Creators. Well they simply say that we was created by Gods who came from the Stars. As far as the God as in Bible/Koran and Big Bang well there is near enough no proof of either. Once is Speculation based on some science, and mathematics, the other just pure faith. No body was around at the dawn of time to see the Big Bang, and no one (well thats debatible) has seen God. So as for the TRUTH..... well i guess there is no one great answer.
