Thoughts on Vickers after new trailer

Yeah, I reckon she's got a real dark streak that is going to play a significant part in this flick - she's going to have an unforgettable moment :)

she works for Yutani on the sly IMO and is going to be killed by Shaw before she gets to complete her TRUE mission which is either get the weapon before WEYLAND DOES OR KILL anyone and everyone you encounter who has anything at all to do with the Weyland BLOODLINE.

Investor info on the website shows 50% Weyland funding, 25% government and 25% PRIVATE. Maybe she represents the private investor, if not Sir Peter Weyland himself. The private investor is maybe Yutani?

Honestly, i think her character is a complete misdirection.... I betcha anything she's the last worry for anyone in this movie.... I bet she's even a voice of reason....cuz so far, she seems to be the only one trying stop everybody from being a fucking idiot.... Mark my words...

I didn´t like it. C´mon, you´re a big bad corporation funding an exploratory mission of unordinate importance _ maybe the most important one since Columbus. Then you send the two academic, naif, untrained types to have FIRST CONTACT with the aliens (in substitution of a fully trained and skilled contact crew) and then tell them IN THE LAST MINUTE to NOT talk with the beings they are pursuing for ALL THEIR LIVES. Suspension of disbelief have limits...

Looks like it's Vickers who goes out to greet them when they come back with what's probably an infected crew member.....and she's carrying a flame-thrower.

Burke initially came across as a nice guy, but ended up being a weasel. Perhaps this time, the apparent weasel ultimately proves to be a decent human being.

I just keep thinking that Vickers is a part of the alien race (SJs, engineers, whatever) and is there with a secret agenda of protecting interests of her kind, that is not letting "the fire" get in the hands of humans. And why she looks human? Because they created her as they created all of us. I just cannot think of another reason for a secret agenda, as she is apparently not a synthetic being.

Yeah, i have a feeling she's going to end up being one of the "Good Guys".

@dimaB I said the same thing just to see if I could get a rise out of people. she is kind of acting like a deep cover detective right before the cops show up... All skittish and twitchy and overselling concern for the group she is pretending to be a part of.... Interesting, but completely circumstantial and reaching... but it's sticking with me for now.
