It looks like the lucky crew members will have a killer around every corner..... Pissed off Engineer for breaking the rules? Cobra face hugger arm mutation? Holloway eye mutation? Fifield axe murderer? Gas / imploding mask mutation? ( could be the axe murderer ) Squiddy that bursts out of the head mutation? Vickers sneeky masterplan? David doing an Ash? Any that i have missed........?

This reminds me of The Thing (1982), where everyone gets crazy at some point and starts attaking others...there's even an axe too...
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids? They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

But in The Thing they couldn't really tell who was infected. Less ambiguous in this film.

Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

I was just about to add a similarities to the original Thing comment.... I think there may be a little 'is my mate infected or not' thrown in If this film takes the best elements of both, it would be near purfect...... Come on Ridders make it so..........

@Myrddin365 I know...but, even knowing who's infected, they can build a very good suspense in this movie.

Back at the very beginning, Ridley said there were elements of this film that were reminiscent of The Thing.

I think so, but not as hidden as per Myrddin365. The'trust no one' will be there i think....... Could one of the infections be for the good of the crew, to flight the evil? Holloway perhaps, with some help from David's tinkering?

@Mizere In all fairness, Carpenter's film was much closer to the short story "Who Goes There" than the black and white "The Thing From Outer Space." there appears to be solidarity with the crew in all the trailers except when Shaw wakes up and cold cocks some unfortunate medical professional.
