Or, it might be that one of the engineers was attempting to run away from one of the SJs, only to confront another in different passageway...Unless, in some way this being has somehow "brainwashed" the Space Jockeys to begin attacking the Prometheus crew(and control the SJs spacecraft, as you mentioned). In the end, I believe you might be right that the big blue guy is the ultimate arch-villain..

yeah im beginning to believe we've all been conned,thinking they are the same species. The space jockeys running i believe is an ancient recording. I believe the blue guys leave clues to find them and then destroy us, so they stay in power/highest form of life in the universe and take any technology they want,hence the blue guy in the jockey chair?

Are they running [i]from[/i] something, or running [i]toward[/i] something?

I think they make the same mistake the prometheus crew make and are running for their lives

I think it's pretty clear that the Blue guys and Jockeys are one and the same. The difference in size is due to the different needs of the ships.

I think one of Scott's main themes in Prometheus is to answer who is in the SJ suit. Here's what he said back in December: "Therefore, who is that, inside that [Space Jockey] suit? That wasn’t a skeleton that was a suit. And if you open up the suit, what do you get inside it? So my take is the blue guys are the SJ's.

I have to politely disagree,we have had no solid evidence of that as yet,only speculation.Im not saying you're wrong,just we've not seen any proof of that yet

I mentioned this in another post, but I recall an article regarding Alien when it came out where someone (Ridley?) mentioned that the SJs were in competition or a war with another species, and the eggs were a weapon. I don't recall if the eggs were the SJ's weapon against the other race or if they were meant against the SJs themselves, but if this was the case Ridley may be exploring that storyline. Imagine if the SJs were running because they stole the technlology (Prometheus?) from their enemies or were under attack.

We see the blue guy rasing the chair. Unless he's raising it for someone else, it's [i]him[/i] we see with the elephantine helmet and trunk, merging with the chair.

Darthmongo yes,thats where im coming from. Remember Ridley also said its about higher beings who challenge the gods, people are maybe assuming we are the higher beings when its the jockeys or the blue guys. I reckon we've all been duped ha ha

artyoh we dont see him getting in the chair tho, could be he's just using some sort of auto pilot to destroy the Prometheus,just a thought. Or they have manipulated the space jockey tech as i posted earlier?

I still reckon there's another, bigger, nastier thing that is above the Jockeys' on the food chain. Uglier than the original Alien, but still not as horrid as me first thing in the morning. Damn these early morning starts -_-

Well i guess we just dont know.... its hard to make out those Jockeys running away in those holograms. Here is what we see in terms of Jockey/Blue Guy apart from Alien. 1) We see dead Jockeys, a pile of 3-4 or more on entrance to the cave, we see another one on floor (who looks smaller) we see another without its head maybe? 2) We see the Jockey head on the Lap Table, in new Trailer we see some Cobra/Worm break out of its head, on the freeze frame we can make out a head inside the Helmet that looks like the one in the statue. 3) The other Hologram scene we see Engineers who look like the Blue Guy. 4) We see the Blue Guy activate something on the floor of the controll room then walk up to the Pilot Chair. 5) We see some one in the Pilot Chair who seems to wear a helmet thats simular to that of what they find on the floor (the one where something explodes from in latest trailers) not only that prior to the guy in the chair we can see something ontop of the chair same colour as helmet in the scene where the big guy is walking to the chair. All in all i think the Blue Guy activating the Pilot Chair to arise and then walk over to it, is the same one who is in the chair in the one scene. The guys who apear in the Star Map Room without masks/helmets and the running holograms are the same beings. I thus think the Engineer/Blue Guy/Jockey are all and one the same. The reason for the dead ones... 1) The Xeno 2) Other Organism on the plannet. 3) Killed by fellow Engineers/Jockeys 4) Klled by some other being/creature not yet seen. Thats my hunch and i could be wrong.

Thadus12, a few of us have speculated that the reason you see SJ bodies lying around is because there was some kind of conflict between them and another race. And the SJs lost. Now, the only blue guys(s) we've seen have bodybuilder-ish type physiques. The only SJ suits we've seen are more slender. Are we to believe that these muscular blue guys, who are already wearing a suit, can fit into the SJ suit? That they would put one form fitting suit over another? I've never thought for one second that the blue guys and the SJ are one and the same. The SJ is still a suit, but we haven't seen what's wearing it yet. Even if it's just more blue guys wearing the SJ suit, it could still be two different factions of blue guys in conflict, "gods and engineers."

Well... The first images of the SJ in the chair made me think that it´s the blue guy, and the elephantine snout is a special helmet attached to the "canon". So, it should be part of the suit. But...now we see SJ´s running with their snouts. So, if this is a helmet, it´s not attached to the "canon". I´m lost on this, but increasingly believing there are two races, SJ´s and blue guys. Also, the SJ´s only appear dead or running (until now), the blue guy seems to be in the control of the situation...

im totally convinced we've been misled and also think they are seperate beings...time will tell i guess?
