My apologies if this has already been discussed, if the life cycle of the proto Xeno involves incubating inside somebody, then bursting out of the hosts mouth, would that hold some significance or clue as to why the sj's have that snorkel on their helmet??? Everybody's assuming it is some sort of breathing device while in spaceflight when in fact it could be an incubator of sorts, maybe even a right of passage for the species (reaching sexual maturity etc), any thoughts

Could also be why their helmets appear to have a "mouth"-like opening on them as well.

The SJ seen in earlier trailers has a relatively short snorkel. The "Ghost SJ" seen in the most recent trailer has a very long snorkel than apparently attaches to the suit/body, and in fact rather resembles HR Giger's original SJ sketches for the Alien (single page of very tentative sketches) I'm confused. Anybody have any idea why the snorkels come in two sizes? I mean, the one sitting in the chair with a short snorkel the one (or projection) running freely has a long snorkel. Brain overload...
