Something that Ridley said in the latest feature, The surprise is in the story. Lindelof and scott are to clever to be predictable, they wouldnt create a film that we would all get 1 month before its released. There is a major twist in the whole plot that no one will see coming, just like lindelof did each week with lost where he had viewers thinking this then thinking that, its going to be like that all over again but with ridleys genius along side him. 3 things that are of importance to the twist are 1. A King has his reign and then he dies - its inevitable 2. Big things come from small begginings 3. The surprise is in the story. What if the 3 engineers are prometheus, what if its them thats cursed and they are locked on a baron planet and they are up to no good plotting revenge against the higher gods who sent them there but Weyland interfers with there wrath and steals there weapons of choice.

Fassbender was pretty clear to say that there is no link with the Prometheus myth and the plot itself

So your saying those SJ's did steal fire from their gods and this is where they were banished. It is plausible. Did they steal Biotech, space travel tech or actually give fire to humans thousands of years ago.

Biotech. It has to be biotech. I feel like prometheus' "fire" in the film is some sort of forced evolution tech. The space jockeys evolved humans and all live on earth and the metallic cylinders contain some goo that forced dna to mutate and evolve. It would be a missing piece to current evolution theories of bunches of time need+random mutation=evolution. Engineered evolution is what I'm getting at. Monsters we engineered. The goo/gas causes the infected crewmates to evolve into something sinister, possibly spacejockeys or thier servants? Any ideas?

It's safe to say that what we think we know about this film, we don't really know. An example would be Sir Ridley's Blade Runner. There came a revelation in the middle of the film that Deckard was a replicant. So, this movie has too much potential to take us down the beaten path. Ridley will throw his surprise uppercut in the film before we as fans can react.

Yes, biotech looks to be the fire in the story, and maybe the ship was named that because it was traveling to get the fire. From the being at the waterfall with the black veins, to numerous other scenes, there's that liquid in action. I'm still wondering though, why the prevailing effect seems to be sinister, with much hostility and "uncivilized behavior" being manifested.

i like the way that weyland isnt in hardly any of the ad clips except the ted viral, but he is on that ship hes the old guy in the wheelchair reawoken from his death. i find it strange theres only 3 engineers mentioned in the end credits that have surfaced online, why are there only 3? is this a connection with the trinity? these 3 are the engineers of all life like some parallell with the holy trinity of God.
