The engineers are human

I keep reading all sorts of discussions is a space jockey a race is an engineer another race. The answer is no thats the surprise they are human. We are Humans that range at avrage height 6ft they are humans that avrage height 12-15ft. They are humans ebd of discussion, not elephantine, not mutant just plain old large Humans, hence us being there creation we are called - Humans. Engineering is a job title and Space Jockeying just means a person who rides the lightning, or rides space very efficiently. Ridley could have gone the route of the cartoon comic books (which i thought ewhere quite weird) where the engineers where actual squid like creations that needed suits because they had no arms or legs just squishy membraine bodies and mutant looking heads. But ridley has chosen not to do that , maybe it was to obvious making them another lifeform alltogether. The Engineers are the original humans with advanced technology who brought us into being but did not give us the secrets of creation, so we go to there Tribal temple and steal it and they punish us, end of discussion.
