If so, could you answer these 3 questions please?
1. Did you have them as a child?
2. Do you still have them, and if so, what's your age?
3. Are you an artist, and if so, what's your medium?
Thanks for playing.

Yes, I've had those types of dreams pretty much my whole life and I'm 58. I am a pilot, flying Air Ambulance/Medical Transport aircraft for the most part.
I'm not a professional artist, but I am a photographer, mostly landscapes and architecture....also, again, not a pro....Plein Air painting...watercolors.

Yes, I have had them many times, However there was always some glitch and I could not get airborne. I remember one such dream, something was chasing me around my house and I was supposed to be able to just fly away but I could not get off the ground. I just hopped. It was horrible :(

@rozns: Mine too. (I've had them). They always took place around my old neighborhood when I was a kid. It also took me different ways to get in the air through the years. As I grew older, I had them less and less and now at 52, maybe once or so a year.
I always wondered about the sensation of air flowing past my face and arms... Where did that come from? Maybe riding my old gold banana seated stingray bike and holding out my arms? Maybe something else entirely.
I enjoy performing many of the arts as well as teaching them.

@db Thought a bit more on your query today...
Good 'ol Schwinn, eh? As others have related a bit of the content of their dreams, here's a bit of mine : My dreams have diminshed in frequency over the years, as have yours. They have never been what could be called operational, that is, they have never involved the experience of piloting an aircraft or viewing from one or a nightmare, such as an accident.
One common feature of some of them is altitude- almost always low.
I can't recall the last one I had...could be 5 years maybe.

My flying dreams, such as they are, have diminished over time as well- it may be as long as 5 years or so since the last one I had. They have never involved piloting an aircraft or the experience of a view from one, nor have they been what you might think of as a nightmare.
A common theme I experience is being at a low altitude, in motion....not sure if I have control or not.

@Forever War: do you ever remember the sensation of losing altitude (or power) because of a feeling of a loss of confidence?

Have you ever had flying dreams?
YES
[1. Did you have them as a child?]
YES
[2. Do you still have them, and if so, what's your age?]
YES, 40.
[3. Are you an artist, and if so, what's your medium?]
YES, Keyboardist/composer.
EXTRA DATA:
If you've seen the movie John Carter, my "flying" is more on that level than it is the Superman level. I definitely feel that I need to keep on launching myself and my average altitude isn't all that impressive (damn physics even in dream-land) barely getting me above the height of cars making trucks something definitely to watch out for.
Now here is something: "Nakedness dreams" in conjunction with "flying dreams". I am afflicted with those as well......gulp....most often simultaneously. ; 0

@db
The most vivid I can remember, yes, that would be accurate. As I have said, they don't involve a feeling of fear like a nightmare can, more like.." guess I'm going down now, stay up, how did I stay up, ok guess I'm going down, can't remember how I got up, if I did I could stay up"....sort of like that.
I read back on that and chuckle a bit.

@forever war... Yup... What you just said. That, coupled with being super pissed off when I woke up and realized it was always just a dream!
