A good question. "It", is wearing one of at least two versions of a human environment suit we see in the film - this particular suit does not seem in optimal condition. That suggests, to me, at most, that the suit contains what either still is, or once was, a human being. For myself, I find insufficient data with which to completely answer your query. 34 days.

I think its Fifield. You can make out a melted face in the reflection of the other guys helmet glass. Unfortunately, i think Milburn explodes via the cobra bleeding inside his body.

Prometheus part II.

There's a red solid-looking metal suit hanging in the background on one of the scenes where shaw is limping wounded inside Prometheus. Either that is it or some macabre mutation or both.

Well, maybe Vickers REALLY was not f@#$ing around when she pulled out that flame thrower. Unfortunately, she was not thorough enough to deal with whatever Holloway was becoming.

[size=200]Halloway, fried by Vickers.[/size] Not allowed to enter the ship. After a sortie at one of the temples Vickers is threatening the crew with a flametrower. Halloway, clearly infected, has to step forward. In one of the tv spots he's clearly saying 'no'. We then have a shot of Vickers, flametrower still smoking, yelling: Everybody back to the ship! Now!". The guy in the heavy work? suit is seen stepping aside, clearly intimidated by Vickers. And here we have the guy in the work?suit, staring at a blackened crewmember. Do the math.

Cobra jumps out of the other dudes mouth and into or onto this guy and jacks him up. He's infected and Vickers comes out with a flame thrower and tells the crew to get back on the ship and he has to stay behind. The worker suit guy 's face doesn't say initial shock. His expression looks more like "WTF" mixed with "Sorry man"
