Actually surprisingly five of my closet friends want to see Prometheus. The other ones don't just because they hate sci-fi (which I also Do not understand at all) but to each their own. If they don't want to watch what is sure to be the most amazing movie of this year and presumably many years to come then so be it.

like the others already said, i can't see how anyone cannot be intrigued by this film. then again, if you didn't grow up watching alien and don't understand the background it's connection to that film, you might wonder "why all the hype" it's about personal preference. i can't understand my wife's interest in Sex And The City or Lipstick Jungle any better than she can understand my obsession with Star Wars. There's no right or wrong, just personal preference, and we just gotta respect that.
