The Film

MemberOvomorphMay 06, 20121123 Views19 RepliesSo, after watching many forthcoming footage, me, and my dog are worried about the enjoyment that we will lose from the whole film being edited by the same people that produced the trailers.
Will the whole film be shown with the same strobing effects, as even after two minutes, both my dog and I. are foaming at the mouth, also we are both left handed, will this make any difference to our enjoyment?

What will disturb me most in the film will certainly be the periodic low pitched horns and the siren every 4-5 seconds. I can't hold 2 hours of it, definitely.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

some good 3D glasses are necessary for u and ur doggie..and for proper foaming in cinema a decent snack is of course .. INEVITABLE

Strobing a problem? Left handed? So your an artist with ocassional seizures? I noticed very little strobing and I'm right handed....can't wait for the light show!

I'm not too sure if the trailer editors will be the film editors either, but you'd have to assume that if they are Ridley is keeping an eye on everything that gets put in there.
Yeah I've decided I'm seeing it 3D first showing myself, and hopefully I won't feel like puking. I am, however, taking a garbage bag just in case that does happen. I'd break a 7 year non-vomit streak for this ;-P
Take a roll of toilet paper for the foaming problem.
Also, yes, you and your mutt will need refreshments :-P I'm smuggling in a 1.25 litre Coke, chips, and maybe some doghnuts, I'll be at the cinema for a few hours cause I'm seeing it twice back to back, first 3D then 2
As for the left handed-thing, I'd rather not think about that if I can help it. Which, of course, now I can't................. -_-

"Is it dead this time?" "I dunno, poke it with this stick and see."

The wife and I are seeing the midnight showing in 3D. ITEMS FOR PROMETHEUS:
1. Giant can of redbull.
2. Stainless steel flask
3.jagermiester in aformentioned flask
4. Fresh change of underwear
5. Smelling salts
And the wife said she would carry it all!
May 06, 2012
@rynunger: Ha-ha, excellent, great list. Just two things... it's 'Jagermeister', and do you really need Red Bull in order to be MORE alert? lol
May 06, 2012
No ur right I probably don't need the redbull but the jager came In handy when avp was in theaters years ago. Yeeesh. But I suspect this movie will be Effing great!
May 06, 2012
..for AVP I would have needed two large bottles of Jaegermeister, to completely knock myself out 1 minute into the film, then to be carried home and sleep it all off and wake up as nothing like it ever happened!

I think you do raise profound and, indeed, spiritually intense concerns on behalf of yourself and your noble hound.
May I respectfully suggest that you immediately set aside these concerns, as the bringing about of tremendous, potentially bowel-loosening seizures and foaming at the mouth etc., such as may be precipitated by this film, can surely only add to the tremendous overall enjoyment of this quite extra-oridnary, cine-visual experience - (despite the relatively small indiscretions of personal soiling and necessary hospitalisation, following)?
Yes?

Was it the opening night? lol
