In new trailer, there is a quote that says "King has it's reign, and then he dies". so here is something i came up based on the trailer data. My theory - is this about race of space jockies who are saving exceptional aggressive species from around the univese and then placing in one place, just to rule planets by invading them? So if prometheus crew is landing on a planet where SJ's are already dead because of their own experiments or animal park and this crew accidently releasing it then earth is in danger because their ships are set on invasion for nearest habitable planet? so prometheus crew wants to stop it and they fail, and in next mission (Alien movie) crew hears the SOS signal for hostile planet warning and crap starts to happen? that's what i can gather from here. I want to know more about SJ's. that;s why prometheus is important, i don't know if ridley is off for another movie with more tangent plot.

And the legacy that follows on from that is the ruins left over from whom ever or what ever created them. Who knows how long they have stood there! It's mind boggling to think that it the 'Temple Mount' or 'complex' could have been there for over tens of thousands of years perhaps even millions of years. Don't forget, Ridley Scott is tapping into Eric Von Daniken themes here too so it could revolve around 'Ancient Astronaught' therums of recent times and the Ruin Complex/Temple Mount does look a lot like a place in Mexico named: Teotihuacan which is supposed to have the Solar System inter-mapped throughout the whole site. The same analogy could be drawn for this place upon the planetoid.

Serpant gods and the teotihucan relation with alien/predator movies was an excellent linkup.

Those temples look nothing like Teotihuacan. But I agree with the rest of your theory.

By the way i dont understand why we are calling them temples. I mean they don't look places like worship. They look more like museum or like palace made for honor or for rehabitation or like a cage? or maybe nest?
