I've enjoyed reading the discussions and speculation here, logging on every day for the last few months. But to keep the film a suprise I've decided to sign off till after the american release. And its only fair that us uk guys dont spoil it for those across the pond. I hope its as good as we all expect it to be!

I feel you! I'm treading very cautiously over the net from today on. I want to go into the theater and be blown away by Prometheus. That will not happen if I know every time someone farts in this movie before I see it! lol

I totally agree, and I appreciate your post. I was truly intrigued by the film until I read all the speculation and rumors on the web. The more I read, the more disappointed I became.
Recently, I read blog where a person posted a very convincing play-by-play of the plot, and cited her sources pretty convincingly. She included screen shots, and other plot details that were hard to discount. If her story is accurate, then I am truly disappointed. She revealed everything except the mysterious 11 final minutes of the film.
At any rate, besides this individual's post, I have not found any other convincing plot synopsis online, other than all the other regurgitated information found on the web. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Prometheus has in store!

@skittles6969: you make a valid point, and your post (sadly)
is well warranted here. such a promising film should not be spoiled
for us all by a few who enjoy those kinds of antics on here
i am navigating this site a bit more carefully since last week
and since obvious "SPOLIER" threads are not blocked, it makes
sense to either be more careful on here, or simply avoid this great site

Honestly, this is the only Prometheus related website I visit (except for the weyland website, which is not going to give away the plot anyway).
I will tread cautiously in here, and that's it. If I accidentally run into spoilers I'll only have myself to blame, but I won't be actively looking for spoilers anywhere else.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

And you had to make a whole new thread to say you aren't coming here anymore.
How considerate of you.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

No matter how lightly we tread here on in.. Suspect irresponsible spoiling begins now...See ya all on June 8th. Enjoy the ride.

I like the fact that the people who go away have never contribuited to the discussions here ( or in a very limited way ) ....but they have to tell everyone that they go away .

I'm disappointed even that I've seen the cobra before seeing the film, so I'm VERY careful what I click on. There is NO WAY that I'll listen to the audio related to that. I fully understand people's leaving. I don't detect any "safe zones" here that are designed to protect against spoilers—but in an odd kind of way—staying is probably a bit like creeping around the temple with a weapon raised...

I don't think that is a fair statement. The TC has, I believe, 14 posts. You'd be surprised, but that is a bit higher than average (look at the Members section and see the plethora of 0's and 1'ers). The other member piggy-backing on the leaving has almost 100. Am I incorrect?
@"Departers" (those leaving above and those to post later on),
Sorry to see you leave. You contributions will be missed. But might I suggest another tactic? It's what I use. It is called "self-restraint"....and using it, I have traveled THIS site quite safely and having to resort to "throwing the baby out with the bathwater", so to speak). In addition, the staff here on out are marking, locking and deleting "mega-spoiler" threads as well as removing links to other sites that don't care about there community. Take a few days off to think about it and check out the NEW site when you return. Spoiler concerns ARE being addressed!!!

Hi there:
self-restraint is important. But I totaly feel you and understand your options.
Before I ever posted in this forum I was an invisible reader [one of many I guess] and i read almost everything that goes around here.
I like the imagination some people demonstrate to have. I like the creativity process, you see. And sometimes I do feel that some ideas posted here are going to be very present in the movie.
However, I restrain my self from those "SPOILERS" and don't give much to them.
Please stay and try to have fun with the process.

My first reaction was "I could see your point, I even tried to stop visiting this site," but then I thought... the majority of members on this site are extremely intelligent individuals who are in general motivated and enjoy science fiction, especially the Alien saga. Face facts, everyone has pretty much figured the movie out now, not by malice but by their very nature. God Bless everyone here.

Oh I'll be back... I just have ZERO self restraint when it comes to this movie. I am pumped beyond belief. Never dreamed Ridley would actually go back to this world.
This site is great... I'll be here after opening night!
abordoliMay 07, 2012
Hopefully, I'll be here opening night on my Nook Color. I might even consider hauling in my laptop or doing a live stream (not of the movie, of course, but of the crowd before the movie).
