Prometheus: the Dream

It's no secret that I am obsessed with this movie (but I suspect many people around here are...) A few nights ago I had my first (and I hope only one) Prometheus related dream. Basically I went to the opening show and saw the movie. I can't remember the plot completely but in short it went like this: They find the clues to the distant planet where the engineers might be, so they take off, briefing, landing, set up blahblahblah all the stuff seen in the trailers. Then, when they open the door of the hangar to move out, a station wagon car comes from outside before the crew can leave. From the car a family of 4 (or 5, can't remember anymore) emerges, and start chatting with the crew, becoming friends. From that moment on it all becomes the story of this friendship, with them all going for walks, shopping and other social activities... I remember my delusion while dreaming... what a let down. When I woke up I was REALLY disappointed. I would definitely classify this dream as NIGHTMARE Any Prometheus related dreams/nightmares?
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born. Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

I have yet to have any "Alien" franchise related dreams. I do know what you mean, though. Take the biggest Alien fan on this site. I am 1000 times more fanatical about Star Wars than said fan. I might as well be George Lucas' son. Star Wars related dreams permeate my "dream-scape" almost nightly, but not necessarily in relations to the movies themselves. The Star Wars toy market. I have dreamt, and held, the most amazing Star Wars toys (never before realized and created) and I have even sculpted and painted things in my dreams SOOOO real and tangible that I hated it when I woke up.

I have Alien posters surrounding me in my bedroom (from Giger-inspired nightmares to various movie posters), thus having an Alien in my dreams on a daily basis is par for course. Yet it does not stop the screaming, the sweating, and the panic that has washed over my eyes. Dreams, yeah I haz them... mostly.

The only movie related dream I ever had was with Exorcist... and it wasn't scary at all... just absurd. -.-"

Until I started watching the P trailers and reading this forum avidly I had (for perhaps a year or two) recurring dreams of alien invasion. There were no monsters xenos or any creatures in these dreams. They always involved seeing incredible space ships (that's all I can call them) in the sky moving in strange and threatening ways - like hovering overhead silently. Only threatening never attacking. I have a feeling I was infected by the terminator 1 2/sarah connor stuff that I have watched over and over. Why I have not experienced these same dreams since Prometheus hit the headlines is interesting me. I really did have these dreams weekly! Goodness knows what dreams I will get after seeing this film - can't wait! I wonder if these dreams are in the human memory and are passed down from our dim and distant remote ancestors.

"I am a man who dreamt he was a butterfly, who thought he was a man." Dreams are the playground of our souls; use them, enjoy them, and feed them all the nightmares you can. Life is just too bland without my creatures...

I've had generic "alien invasion" type dreams. Even "godzilla" type dreams. In each, I'm on the street trying to find a away to not get disintegrated or crushed.
