Prometheus crashing (Spoiler free)

"WEYLAND ANNOUNCES REVOLUTIONARY INTERNET EXPLORER PARTNERSHIP"
We can now conclude with a high degree of certainty that the Prometheus doesn't crash because of the pilots manoeuvring it, but because it runs Windows as OS.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

I would have tears of laughter if THIS happened to David:

Enter Spok: "But Jim, that is logical"

Somewhere, somebody who came up with that announcement is doing an EPIC FACE-PALM. I think I may have even heard it, or maybe it was just thunder...

That explains the bugs in ASH then....... No wonder they keep bringing out upgrades.
Is this linkage with Microsoft timed so that the numbering convention Windows 8 / David 8 happen to go together....hmmm will there be any MS logo placement in the movie!?

lol at windows 8 and david 8 relation :D
Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.

It would be hilarious if David ends up ridiculously glitchy after about the first 20 minutes or so!
Or if he had to physically buffer before he could process the Star Map - hence the glaikit expression on his face...
May 14, 2012
That's an unexpected twist, as I have been thinking that David was basically a walking iPad.

It's unexpected... but still funny. I agree with Mithra... just imagine if he was running on Vista though...

They just happen to have a Blue Guy of Death, instead of a Screen.

I would laugh out loud in the cinema if he made the old windows noise at some point in the film!
May 14, 2012
It will be funny if they made such comedy but ridley is damn serious guy, so it's hard to get that. But it will be good if any robot lady or guy in other movie says - "ting todo todo" (intel theme) or maybe - "ting ting ding ting ding (windows xp theme). lmao. :D

@ DippyBird and NoxWord
I am cracking up here...the windows jokes are limitless. With Win 8 bing their touch interface...I wonder if there is a reference to it on the cryo tubes touch interface?
Probably not as I hear they all get there alive....
Error - Prometheus has encountered a bug. - Would you like to hunt it with some colonial marines? Y/N

It would break the tension though if that happened when he fell or something... and then a few moments later is attacked by an engineer. Kind of like the miaowing Brett does before the alien gets him!
May 14, 2012
That or if he made an endless "Da-ding-ding" noise like when you have a horrendous crash and there's just a stream of error messages i.e. my usual day with AutoCAD at work!
Msepsis - that image is PRICELESS! It may have to become my new wallpaper :3
