Is the engineer merely a servant to an higher alien/being?

Hello haydn: It's a fair question and very interesting to debate. I'm into believing the head has some sort of purpose [either to the human guests, to the apules neetly arranged there, or both]. As to the question it self, it seems fair that the SJs/Engineers are their own masters. But how can we know?

Like most people, I wouldn't want to given a major spoiler, but it's still fun to speculate, we all do it internally anyway. Just the way Scott keeps saying it's about everything, I have to assume the story curve must go beyond a mad alien experimenting, the scope has to be bigger.

Why are there murals in this structure in the first place. It would not be to record any sort of history, they are too advanced for such a primitive form of communications. Could it be a place of worship, a holly temple of life yet unborn to the cosmos? I feel the human crew are interlopers (intruders) in a sacred place meant for the Engineers alone. Questions questions.

I agree, the poor Engineer wakes up to all the darn screaming and things running around. What a mess. Time to clean house, and oh let's take a short trip to the humans home world and find out what went wrong with these monkeys... nothing like waking up to robots, bitchy scientists, and stupid men things.
