Is Prometheus still being fine tuned/edited.Or is it finalized and in the can?

I saw that news Craigamore..I didnt take it to mean that it was finalized. I took it to mean that Fox was not going to compromise the vision of the movie, therefore not a single frame would be cut, but some things may still be added and fine tuned. Maybe if it is still being fiddled with..perhaps another 20 minutes could be added and lets say the running time may be about 140 minutes (lol.. I know I am grasping at straws) then with the rated R and 140 minutes all will be right in the universe at last. :}

We posted this news maybe a week and a half ago....I think it speaks for itself... "Prometheus will be rated R according to FOX CEO, Tom Rothman in a recent MTV interview. This is an incredible sign of relief to most fan boys - as many were getting discouraged that the film may hold a PG-13 rating. "Not one frame of Prometheus will be cut." ... I believe that means the final cut is ready...

Just got my tix for June 9!!!

Big films like this can be fine tuned even up to 1 to 2 weeks before their scheduled release date whether it's editing or finishing touches with CGI. Why wouldn't you use all the time you had to put out the best product possible? My bet is they're still working on it even if it's just being screened.

It could have been released in March. They wouldn't announce a date (then change it) without having the ability to have it ready by the original announced date. I still feel a little ripped off they decided to make us wait till the American summer....... But it'll be just as good in my opinon

Digital duplication is almost finished...it is about to get distributed within the next week.

It's finished... All theatrical prints are completed for distribution to cinemas in the next week or two. There would be literally 6,000+ copies made to arrive at screens by 25th May. Lock it in Eddie...!!!
