Nice! I know there is much speculation about the images we have from the prometheus film and its connection with the image from alien film....as far as the arms being longer etc etc. I think that the ship from the alien film will not be the same we will witness with release of the prometheus film but will draw the link as has been said. As we get closer and closer to the film the true nature of the beginings of the Xenomorph are coming to life....Weyland the space jockey lol!!

My question is: will there be giants?

@fanboy...yeah, i think we've all but put to rest that this is not the same ship. as far as this shot goes, i say this is just after the SJ gets strapped in, and he probably turns on the map. i dont think the other shot is "missing" the background effects, its just another frame in the progression. cool though.

And for those who still doubt, ask yourselfs this one simple question how could that be LV-426/Acheron or whatever the hell you want to call it when in Alien and Aliens there are no temples or Roads/Nazca lines huh?!! And don't even think of giving me that time travel nonsense, this is not Star Trek!!

@Xenophobia...I dont think anyone suggests that this is LV-426 (unless I missed something), not at this stage anyways. does anyone remember if the derelict in Alien had a control chair like the ship here does? we cant compare too much. its been 30 years, and this world was only glanced at by RS back then, so its only natural that he would add/change some things that he came up with while detailing the environment of this story as he went along. and the funding for Alien was tight, and the SJ scene was being persecuted as it was.

The LV-426 Juggernaut (a.k.a. The Derelict) is an earlier model. Perhaps a million years earlier. The LV-223 Juggernaut is next year's model with the new Juggernaut smell and clean ashtray. ; )

@gameover man No, the derelict in ALIEN did not have the same chair seen at the base in Prometheus. It also did not have the 4 pods/sarcophagi. As you mentioned, those are a few changes Ridley must have made using artistic license.

i think its been said weyland is the one who suits up. maybe thats why all the shots we see of david manipulating the star map you should check out the new yahoo featurette interesting stuff a couple of seconds of new images with actual audio attached nice!!!!

Wow! That is a huge seat and since we've seen the pics further up of an SJ in the seat, he's gotta be at least 8 foot tall.....Whad'ya think?
