Found that here.......and got a REAL kick out of it.

MemberOvomorphMay-11-2012 11:57 AMI liked "Avatar"....it was a good thrill ride with out of this world 3D and awesome CG....plenty of action....likable characters....the acting was on par and Sigourney Weaver was a nice addition to the cast..I mean it's the first time she has worked with Cameron since "Aliens"...
So the story itself was perhaps not the most original....it was compared to "dances with wolves" and other scrips....but i mean everything has been done already...to come up with a original script these days are almost impossible....people are gonna draw some parallels....no matter how the plot turns out.....personally I was quite happy with the story and i am not upset that it reached No.1 as the biggest grossing film of all time!...i think Cameron deserved running to the bank with a huge smile on his face!
Funny thing is that i had zero interest in the project until it got released...I never even saw a trailer or made any attempt to hunt for any info on google....I knew about the project but i just was'nt really interested...so I had no expectations....until the movie was released and the critics and friends went wild......then i decided to go watch it and I loved it...so much so that i saw it 3 times in 3D...( bear in mind it was my first 3D experience!)
But with Prometheus it is different....I have always been a huge fan of the Alien franchise....so I have downloaded and collected every trailer and article i have found...every interview ...every bit of information...I have obsessively read thousands of opinions and speculations on various forums and i am counting down the days to it's release...so my expectations are HUGE!
Lets hope I do not get disappointed...so far it looks like it might outdo Avatar..... cause i want something that's gonna scare, excite and not have that family feel to it!...Btw Aliens is still my all time favorite!....Closely followed by Alien !

Oh. No. They. Didn't!
Mr. Cameron is not going to take that lightly. Of course, he still has 4 years or so to "catch up." ;•)
And then of course, it's Engineers vs. Na’vi! in 2020. George Lucas will make it as a cartoon.
Oh, I forgot. Mayan doom puts the kibosh on everything.

MemberOvomorphMay-09-2012 8:01 PMThat's right dude!! I've asked people all around to name a movie that could possibly match the unique visual look of Prometheus without comparing it to Alien and NO ONE can say otherwise! This is not only a movie that has an unparalleled look to it but it's a smart movie with smart questions, in a day and age of the Social Media generation (MORE LIKE THE SHORT ATTENTION GEN) where so called movies like the Twilight crap or the Hunger BS. get made it's truly a once in a life time opportunity to seat in the theatre or cinema and see this epic unfold.

I actually like Lucas´clone wars animations much more than Episode I+II..
you cant compare Pro and Avatar IMO, completely different agendas..
I watched Avatar after waiting almost a year because my girlfirend wanted..
I always had the impression that the the plot is boring despite the huge animation/effect overkill. it doesnt sum up in the end.

MemberOvomorphMay-17-2012 5:42 PMI personally did not like "Avatar" at all. I really don't care for JC's work (of course except Aliens- even then I feel it was a big rip of Alien) He does however always have good special effects but thats just not enough to do it for me. I didn't know anything about avatar until I was dragged there by my brother when it came out... and I had to walk out. I think Prometheus will blow any of Cameron's work out of the water because it has depth and the effects in prometheus look to be pretty damn good too.
Thats just my personal opinion I know a lot of people like Cameron, but I don't feel his stories ever hold up and he seems to have a side agenda to his work on how bad humans are to the planet.... I'd rather not have that kind of stuff in my entertainment

MemberOvomorphMay-17-2012 5:52 PMI despised Avatar - could not get to grips with how corny it was.
But Cameron has made some legendary films, Im yet to meet someone who didnt like The Abyss or T1 and T2

MemberOvomorphMay-19-2012 11:28 PMIs it just a coincidence that both Avatar and Prometheus have giant blue aliens in them? Wouldn't it be cool if they turned out to be related? If you think about it, the Alien isn't that different from the kinds of critters you find on Pandora.
