Recently, Guillermo Del Toro in an interview said that his project for "At The Mountains of Madness" was on indefinite hold as a result of Prometheus. He further indicated that the subject matter between the two stories was very similar and shared the same themes. It occurs to me that the H.P. Lovecraft story has been around for a long time. Is it possible that these themes found their way into the writing of Prometheus? Please discuss.
