@time23 There's a discarded head with that discarded suit - top right inset image... @Prenihility On a Tablet, you can zoom right in. On a PC maybe not so much... You're probably going blind from squinting...

The neck all seems to be there down to the upper shoulder [i]à la[/i] Ash's decapitation by Parker. A human head would not come off that way from any kind of bashing or ripping. It would have to be intentionally cut (rather carefully) to take on that shape due to our musculature. The hair also looks blonde. - SPOILER!!! - - - SPOILER!!! - - - SPOILER!!! - - - SPOILER!!! -

I think it may be in the way the trailers have been edited, there's no way we can tell at what point in the film the body is deposited there. It's more than likely towards the end as is the way of leading characters

Thanks for the enhanced pictures, Gem]n[. I agree with you. The body/suit has always been there, but we didn't see it because our attention was grabbed by the mysterious blue guy to the right. Wow, I actually didn't notice the body until just now... And now when I see the head I diffenently think this is David. Nicely spotted, Gem!

Notice the sarcophagus is open in front of the body.

Hi everyone! I'm new here, I'm big fan of Alien universe and I'm from Russia, so simetimes my english can be tough for you to undestand. The reason why i registered an account is the point you guys are missing in this post, specifically in this picture posted. more specifically in the "body" shot TV Spot #9. look at the sarcofagus. see the crack? the hole? i guess we probably will see at keast dead xenomorph/ facehuger. or probably one of the prometheus crew damaged it. now look at the suit. it's not a body in a suit. it's a suit. and it's not detached head. it's a helmet. i have another question for you folks. does android need to breath? remember Ash was in hypersleep like other Nostromo crew so no one knew he's an android? as we now from one of the feauturetes David was not put in hypersleep. and it's a long way to Zeta 2 reticuly even using FTL technology. it says at one of the web sites the road took 5 years. right? in aliens it took couple of weeks for Sulaco to reach the almost the same planet orbiting next to LV-223 ("17 days for the rescue team" was mention by corporal Hicks). so the point is. it's David in the suit. and he's trying to steal the ship. may be I'm wrong

btw the column Member (white) Send PM (blue) Report (Red) colors go the same sequence as ...

My guess is that the Engineer emerges from the open sarcophagus and tears David's head from his body and then activates the chair in the middle of the hologram room. Or perhaps David activates it and accidently awakens the Engineer from its long sleep.

my guess is. they "come and find them". someone gets infected in the chamber. meanwhile David watch holograms in pilot room. finds a suit, puts it one, goes and kill some of the crew. infects crew or tries to do it. then tries to steal the ship. they try to stop him. evacuate just before prometheus crashes in SJ's ship. vicker dies. everyone goes crio. 2nd ship with wayland and his people come to get alien out of show and Fiefeld fights them as he is a good guy. and then new born alien kills the rest. SJ's rescue team comes next. alien goes in their ship. put a facehugger on pilot's face...he can't see a thing, crashes on LV-426, send warning signal that he is infected. the end alterlater sorry for my english it's not my native language. and i'm not shinees to speak perfectly both alterlater I doubt everything I wrote except Fiefeld being a good guy till the end

I'm afraid I have to agree with Shaw'_sweet_baby on this one. That does not look like a helmet to me. Although, if they could find a way to get Fassy naked to get more women to the theater, they probably would.

******SPOILER******* Yeah, I see the severed head now and have to admit that it is almost certainly Davids. I just keep hoping that he is somehow the explanation for the whole bio-mechanical concept though. Maybe David molted. The "Blue Geezer" does have areas that look like he has expanded from within and stretched the outer skin to its limits. Probably not though.

Freakin' nasty, I'm starting to see it too.

The holes looks very precisely. Like holes from a weapon in a wall or something. Maybe: David sit in the chair... plays "like a child" with this eggshaped buttons. (in the trailer) Maybe the engeener gets upset about this. Kicks his ass and "kill" him. Then he's in rage, in believe David killed his friends. He activate the ship to shoot the earth out of the universe... *giggles* Ok, the engeeners run away (holograms), INTO the ship to fly away from this planet. But get killed before they're leaving LV-233. The holes are to accurate, all the same shape, the same size, the same place on the sarcophagus. Sorry, this part is a bit OT. Ah, and sorry for bad grammer. *sigh*

Wasn't there a (fake?) script floating around that talked about Kate Dickie's character being entombed in one of these sarcophagi? Could it be her (or what's left of her?)

wasn't it her that said in some implied interview in Europe someone posted here like 15 months ago that "for the first half of this film everyone of the crew gets chased around and murdered by this weird organism all Alien Style"?

Yes, we know for sure now that the Engineers get really ticked off when they find their temple littered with discarded suits and heads, especially since they have clearly marked trash bins for recycling.

Well i would still assume its David 8 Here is what i feel is happening... David 8 sets off the Controll panel and he gets to see Holograms of the Engineers and the Ghost Engineers. And then the Star Map. He then says they are going to Earth... He does not notice a Engineer gets out of the sarcophagus or from somewhere and then he kills David and then after that he then goes and activates the Chair to Rise up. This would explain why the body is there in those other shots... If you look at this scene... [img]http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3rlqzndkZ1rnm594o1_500.gif[/img] You do not see the Body and the only person we see in the room at this point is David.... which leads me to my theory being correct we shall find out when we see the movie.

@BigDave, I think you're right except that I think David probably approaches the sarcophagus as it opens and the Engineer crawls out and is not happy to see David. He probably doesn't smell right. ;•)
