An invitation......... from whom?. I´m tired of the same scene of the trailer. I don´t know how many times i heard it.

Could be Slakkers... It is a possibility, but it's very, very subtle if it is.

...those poor people are so naive....was'nt the movie called "paradise" initially....they all acting like they off on a nice cruise to "heaven" to meet their beloved makers....instead once they arrive it's clear this is not a place of god and all hell breaks loose....I think it's a trap.....definitely not an invitation!

Well the simplest course of action should therfore be the most logical, if we were primative at the time when they visited us then why not simply DON'T TELL US ANYTHING!!!? Why even bother to reveal ANYTHING, IN ANY WAY-SHAPE-or-FORM about the Zeta Reticuli System and/or possibly the LV System!!!? We would obviously not be space faring upon our own cultral volition for tens of thosands of yeras later so where it may seem noble at first that they may be giving our primative ancestors a 'heads-up' in the anticipation that one day we will be a space faring civilization or on the other they simply are telling us ancients stuff we really don't need to know then as yet. If you told stone age 'Man' about the usefulness of the micro chip or transistors or the L.E.D do you think he/she/they would be able to comprehend the long hard road of pain-staking trial and error of scientific discovery and thousands of hours + of itellectual thought precesses that ULTIMATELY lead us all there in the first place? It would be like dropping stone age 'man' into modern 21st century Earth and expecting 'Him' to understand the two hundred year sweep from discovering electricity through to the nuclear age right up to our current level of what we think of at least is current sophistication. If we went back in time to stone age man we could probably cope but I doubt where or not the reverse could be possible and a primative could accept the radical break from 'Their time' and being plunged straight into 'Ours'.

These cold-eyed "benefactors" have left what purports to be an invitation, but one that is primed to be utilised when the crop is ready to present itself for harvesting, like livestock travelling full of wonder & expectation to an abattoir under their own steam. Hey, maybe 20thC Fox are running the same ruse? As the first screenings get underway tweets along the lines of "We were SO wrong...aaargh" hit the ether and Variety leads with "Scott Flick Eats Fans Alive In Theatres - Famished Sequel Heading For Netflix".

Slakkers' idea sounds plausible - it would certainly chime with the earlier film, where the crucial beacon was not recognised as a warning to keep away until too late.
