MemberOvomorphMay-14-2012 5:30 PMI wonder if David that we see in the preview of Prometheus, is model 7 or 8? I was looking at the Weyland web site timeline and was trying to find when Prometheus left on its mission and when the recall was issued. I think they leave after the recall or maybe a model 7 snuck on board or was issued to the mission. What do you all think?

MemberOvomorphMay-14-2012 5:52 PMInteresting point. They don't list David 8's creation in the timeline.
But every marketing states the android name as "David 8", so, I think it's just a mistake.
Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?
They glow in every color of the rainbow...they travel endlessly through space...

MemberOvomorphMay-14-2012 7:27 PMI'm just spotting uncovered ground. This is stupid but the android (David) in the prometheus film may be that giant blue guy in the film. Notice how some of these peoples bodies are being taken over by a small creature.
The space jockey may have respawned david into a giant blue man to do their bidding. Maybe. Has this been said?
I say this because he spends a awful lot of time in that room, if anyone pays attention it kind of looks like him.

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 4:26 AM@bigbirdjimmy - I think you may be onto something...Reading the new press article at Weyland Industries regarding David8, there seems to be a recall of all David7's because they have been 'malfunctioning'.
Kathryn Stuart-Rose, a Weyland Cybernetics spokesperson explains: “It appears that one of the emotion mapping and facial recognition sensors is the root of the problem,” Stuart-Rose further explains, “The David 7’s apparently misread human emotions such as surprise and interest, interpreting them instead as anger or frustration.”
It seems that David may be the pivotal character in the film...for better or for worse?
