Hey.. Seen all the new trailers ect just cant help my sell. anyway from the 1st teaser trailer to the official trailer i was totally in love with this film like probably evry one else that comes to this site. but as the new trailers have roiled out my gut is telling me that this film is not going to be as good as we all think its going to be. i dont know why i feel like that. The first prometheus movie clip just didnt look as good as the trailers there seems to be to much happening in this movie. like the spacecobra maybe more than other advanced life forms than just the SJ. mutated humans it could all be to much? Alien was grate because we didnt really see the monster but we new it was there! aliens 2 over did it with way to much aliens and a queen. I donno theres just a bad feeling im geting that this will let us all down. all so i hope RS hasn't just when for a shock value film. Like just to scare us i hope there is the best of both worlds here as in there will be gory stuff happing plus a indeph story line. I would gladly pay into a pg-13 film if the story was griping rather than a R rated film thats like SAW with just gory nonsense! hopefully im wrong though god i really want to be wrong!!

Just watch this movie without any expectations in mind. Some experiences are worth having with empty mind or prejudice of any kind.
Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.

You are the target of the media and Fox has you thinking this way..think about that. They know exactly what they're doing..sowing the seeds of curiousity which works on you to the benefit of them. You're going to see this movie. Fox knows you're saying that to yourself

Hate tea windood give me a beer any day though aha na its been a long wate for this film and i just hope every one who will be paying good £$£$ will walk away from this happy & talking about it for the next 30 years.. really sick to the bone spending crazy amounts of money going to the cinema and seeing utter bollox. its about time we had something good to talk about rather how bad a films been!! cabin in the woods, dark shadows, battleship john carter, the devil inside and even the avengers in my opinion have been utter let downs so far bar the HULK in the avengers must admit he was good lol

i liked Cabin, but mostly for the last 20mins, which i thought was amazing, and hope there's a lovecratesque sequel to come from that. I'd only seen a tv spot for it so i had no expectations, best way to see a film definately. I don't think this will be a let down, all i want is a great story told well, i couldnt give a rats ass about alien dna, xenos, and it linking to alien even, unless its tenuous. All that stuff just serves fanboys, not art. So i hope its kept to a bare minimum. If i were ridley, unless it serves a major plot point, i'd have cut it all out completely and popped it into a 20 disc bluray boxset. If people wanna see xeno's, milk the bitches, haha wold happily get you a beer sean.

My self i think we have to view the movie on its own merits.... I had some theories regarding aspects that could have done well and worked.... If the so called Advanced Screening views comments are anything to go by, then there would be a twist and one that may explain why the Engineer in the one scene looks smaller than in others. But overall for those looking to get a explanation for Alien, well they may leave very disapointed.... Then again maybe we have to take what that person says with a pinch of salt.... because Ridley did say that the end of the movie will link to Alien and that Fanboys wont leave disapointed.... well that dont go with what was said from those who claimed to had seen the movie... So are they lying or is Ridley? Would Ridley think that showing a Space Jockey getting into the Chair and the Derelict trying to take off as the only link to Alien as enough to satisfy the Fanboys.... especially as we seen it in the Trailers and i mean every trailer.... Or is this person just trying to make up a story based on bits of clues from off forums like this.... One Track on the CD called 25: The Birth gives me some hope as it sounds simular to the Alien Track when Kane and Dallas entre the Space Jockey controll Room with the Pilot etc...

It's all a state of mind my friend. An attitude that strips away all the assumptions and pessimism away. Don't over think this, it's just a movie.

Directors can't force studios to tone down on trailers, and the end products don't always reflect the teaser that brought us to the cinema in the first place. I hope this is not the case but I have a long prepared my mind for that possibility. All in all the studios are in this for the money, nothing else. The directors can do the best they can with what they have, so in 24 days I'll see it was really worth the wait or just hype as usual. COME ON JUNE 8th! =)

Once you have seen it, well then you move on. I for one look forward to the books that will follow this new branch we call the "Alien Universe."

Films really piss me off nower days. Im no what you would call a fanboy of the alien franchise i just loved the 1st alien second was awryt watchable. Im a fanboy of good films like the shawshank redemption just a really good story no cgi blow your brain material with a story line that no one gets. Just hope this film has a griping story and not just a all out chop them humans up for 130mins stuff. Fox have really milked this movie already with trailers for trailers. i think theres 9 trailers in all? The official trailer should have been enough my mangina was wet at that lol

@patch... Listen to patch... DON'T FORM "Expectations"...Go in with an open mind, don't assume. Expectations will ALWAYS lead to disappointment. Just relax, go with the flow, and revel in the movie. We all should be thankful it's been made, period.

This movie will not bring back the feeling of watching "Alien" for the first time, nothing ever will. The world was a different place back in 1979, and you were a different person. But!!! This is a movie from the man who made the masterpiece from 1979, and he is apparently very passionate about this project. When a person this talented revisits the genre he redefined, you can bet he will do his very best to deliver an extraordinary movie experience. Never judge a movie by its trailers, they are separate compositions made to entice and tease. Ridley Scotts fascination of the mystic Space Jockey is the driving force behind this movie, and the main plot will probably revolve around it. Hopefully we will also get some original creature design - maybe even a competitor to the brilliantly balanced human/yet not human creature design from Alien - although I am highly doubting that.

I am very thankful. Before Prometheus Ridley Scott was entertaining two possible projects, Thelma & Louise: Resurrection and Robin Hoodlum: Fresh Prince of Thieves.

The only thing that will really, totally, absolutely ruin it for me ... ... is if someone brings their one year old into the theater. I will ... do terrible things.

OP, I'm feeling exactly the same as you. The more I see the more concerned I am. There's too much going on here, even in the trailers - cobra thing, Shaw's offspring, mutant crew members, blue guy, parasite in Holloway's eye, thing David pulls from the ampule, Xeno mural, possible space jockeys. Is this planet a crossroads for nasty alien things ...... That turn other life forms into nasty mutant things?! WTF is going on here?! It's already too much to take in!
