Shilliam... when I heard it I heard "It's in my suit... it's in my suit" and it sounded like he was almost whimpering... Yup Gem. If you look at the images at the start, in one of them you can clearly see fifield's red mohican next to his right hand. Great pics though :)

Depressurizing?...would you exploded in your space suit? I think there was a scene released with someones(SJ?) head going POP!

It would either be Fifield or Milburn - my money's on Fifield as it seems like a really bad day to be mouth-raped by a snake then have your helmet melt onto your face!

Pretty sure melty helmet is 2 different guys Fifield and Milburn!

Is the helmet meshing into the guy's face? I figured it was just melting and it got on his face....maybe it's hotter than hell and since it's on his face, well, ouch. Though it would be cool to see an augmentation of a face and part of a helmet. Since most people here think that whatever the SJ's wield in this movie can mix lifeforms with other things, there's no telling what creativity we'll see in this movie. (:

The more I see that image, the more it unsettles me... It looks like it's burning through their face as well - look at how sunken the eye sockets are and it looks like a clear outline of a screaming mouth that the helmet is melting into - yeuch!

Well if anyone's going with the so called advanced screeners reviews it must be Millburn ... as one of the reviewers said he bites the snake? and acid goes everywhere therefore melting the helmet ... like orangecat says too much for one guy (Millburn) in a day? lol ;) ... I'm going with Fifield on this one because the scene where the person puts both hands up to their helemt looks like Fifield because of no helemt cap ... he has more forehead showing than Millburn ...

I believe they're 2 diff people... The first is milburn if you watch the scene you can see glasses on him as the plexiglass helmet melts to his face probably right after his arms breaks and it gets in his mouth. The second is fifield who gets sprayed in the face while trying to help milburn get the cobralien off his arm perhaps cutting it off and getting sprayed with acid blood?

could be Fifield, but we see him mutated later without a melted anything on his skin....? Could it be someone else on board, like one of the pilots?

or it could be Patrick Wilson! j/k LOL

I agree Gem]n[! Also,I'm fairly certain that Milburn's faceplate is charred slightly but not melted into his face when we see the creature emerge from his mouth. Also I'm 90% certain that's definitely Milburn because of the stubble compared to Fifield's beard. Poor guy though...

That bottom one's definitely Fifield, you can clearly see the red of his mowhawk next to his right hand.

I REALLY don't think it's Milburn whose face gets melted off, I think that's maybe a background character we haven't seen yet. But then again I could be wrong.

Exactly snorkelbottom, I noticed in an earlier screencap there's an image where it looks like what could be the start of Fifield's melting... I'm going to see if I can find it...

But for the time being, we can just call him 'Mr. Facemelt'. That is, until we discover his true identity.

@snorkel...the other is a woman, isnt it? if we're going by the voices in the audio puzzle. whats odd, is that if those sounds are the snake busting up milburn, where are the other 2 voices when we see it sliding down his throat? and it seems like milburn just gets dead down there, not mutated...he didnt make the cut.

Very very interesting... We have in my oppinion 3 outcomes... 1) Milburn gets the Snake down the mouth, falls over.... dies.... Then the Snake or whatever jumps out of his mouth and burns through the mask and jumps at Fifield and causes his mask to melt.... 2) Milburn gets the Snake down his mouth and maybe it gets out and sprays Acid so it can escape the suit and then Milburns mask melts to his face... and makes the hole that the thing then escapes from.... however the hole in the dead guys mask that the thing jumps out of his mouth is small and does not look like the face melt mask. And the creature would not spray acide then go back in mouth to jump back out again.... Fifiled is infected some other way we have not seen yet? 3) A combination of the two above? Maybe something also gets into Face Melts suit and the Melt is from inside the suit and not something that has splashed or attached to the outside?

Mr McFacemelt - that's an absolute belter Gameover!

I think the first one is closer to what we'll see in the film BigDave.

think that snake kills milburn, and someone sticks there face down there to check if he's dead (very Kane'esque) and gets a face full of the black goo on their facemask, and it bonds it to their face.

Guys watch the scene again and not just the stills the first pic is Milburn he HAS GLASSES that can be seen when the plexiglass melts to his face. There's isn't another crewmen with glasses is there? 1st picture = Milburn 2nd picture = Fifield( we see him later most of his helmet gone with burned skin) The skin on fifield also seems to have been already burned before he's set on fire there's scene where he's attacking and burned but not yet lit up could be cgi though.

I thought very early on that they determine that there is oxygen in the ampule room and they remove their masks...these scenes would either need to take place prior to this discovery or are in another part of the ship without oxygen..thoughts? man, I think having something attacking you inside your helmet must be about the most helpless feeling...all of these guys clutching at their faces/heads and not being able to do any self preservation b/c of the suit/masks...reminds me of drowning somehow...the scene with the snake thing entering Miluburn's mouth is extremely disturbing....man...

God... if that's really the case then Milburn's got about as much luck as Wil E. Coyote... except without the ability to be okay 5 seconds later!

Facemelt is Fifeild IMO.... just checked a few trailers... We see some guy with the mask starting to melt..... this person lacks the Gold like Cap that they wear under the helmets that has their names on. So i assume this face.mask melting gets more intence and leads to the black face melting scene....

Ok this is the way I see it. Look at the pic of the helmet where the hammerpede comes out of his mouth. You will notice that the glass on the helmet is not melted at all. It seems to be a round puncture in the lens in front of his face with jagged edges. It is not melted at all like in the other picture. In the other picture the whole front half of the glass of the helmet collapses and sinks into the crewmans face enveloping it. That doesn't happen with the hammerpede where it is shooting out of the mouth. It is noticeable in the gif. Again, the front half of the lens has a clear oval broken section knocked out of it, not melted. Kind of like he fell and crashed into the top of a urn causing the broken lens.

Can we call the snakey thing that gets Milburn, "Sir Wrigley", after "Sir Wrigley(Ridley) Scott"? just a thought :)

This melting-face scene makes me feel uneasy, and It's just a glimpse of what to come...

@Shillam...I disagree man the "Hammerpede" is coming out of the crewmans mouth and the hole in the helmet is huge and looks melted then broken once weakened. It's the camera angle that I think is confussing you because it's upside down and to the side if he were right side up and standing the hole would be in the exact same location as where milburns plexiglass helmet is melting.
