MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 4:41 PMI reckon one of the final scenes in the film will be a rescue team finding shaw.Seems likely to me as she is on the table before lashing out at the guys in the bio-hazard suits in the Imax trailer???

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 4:43 PMAt least we can see she's not being gentle with them.
Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born.
Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 4:46 PMwhat if there are two (human) ships, the prometheus and ... another one. Everyone keeps suggesting that Weyland is in stasis on the Prometheus ... but what if he simply follows Prometheus in a second ship?
The reason I ask is because I too think that the scene with Shaw lashing out at the guy in the hazard suit is going to be at the end of the film ... which would mean (i assume) the Prometheus has already crashed and been destroyed.
Based on the screenshots and trailers, I think it's entirely possible that after the Prometheus crashes, a second human ship is revealed.
The ending scenes would take place on Weylands ship, returning to earth.
1.Noomi waking up and bashing the biohazard guy
2.Noomi sneaking down the hall into the medpod
3. the removal of Cuddles
4. Noomi struggling down the hallway and collapsing in front of David / Old guy in wheelchair.
5. 'we were so wrong'
....She's bloody and clearly exhausted in these shots, and wearing the same clothes in all of them....

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 4:57 PMIsn't that after she removes the thing from her body though? You can see stitches as she goes down the hallway, why would no one be helping if that's them heading back to earth?

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 5:00 PM^^^ there's another clip though where she is clearly Sneaking down the hallway. She has no blood on her, and she's wearing those skimpy white things. Then, Cuddles is removed. Then, she comes back down the hallway, covered in blood and with the stomach staples, and then we all know the screenshot where she is collapsing and in the background we see the wheelchair guy, the merc and david.
If you look closely, when the trailer shows her saying 'We Were So Wrong,' she appears to be wearing the exact same clothes and blood she is wearing when she is seen struggling down the hallway w the staples in her stomach after Cuddles' removal.

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 5:03 PMHmm you know what vid shows her sneaking, cant seem to find that in any.
Edit: oh wait i get what you're saying, but its hard to say if the bit where she says we were so wrong is middle of the movie or at the end.

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 5:04 PMWhy two ships if Weyland could just hide on the first one? Plus it takes them 5 years to get there!

MemberDeaconMay-15-2012 5:07 PMWho knows.....
I did think that scene was when maybe Weyland and the Corp wanted to keep the thing inside of her, so she wacks them and then has it removed....
But would they not be able to follow her and stop her.....?
Only thing is if they are the ones who take her to med table.... but then in one image we see Shaw with something in her mouth... getting into the med table?
who knows its so hard to figure and peice it all together unless what those who claim to have seen the movie say is true in which case the OP is correct which then means the movie wil disapoint many Alien fans looking for answers.

MemberOvomorphMay-15-2012 5:16 PMIf this may be the 'nding' of the film then perhaps we're in for a double-dream in stasis type ending. The so-called: "Dream-within-a-dream" syndrome. It may be corny and has been used many time but perhaps Ridley Scott may toy with a triple version of that! These things, whatever they do to a person but long exposure to their 'infections' or 'infectious natures' could lead to hightened sense of hallucinatory side/after effects.
The methods in film making has been tried-and-tested umpteen amoutns of times I know it was just pause for thought...

.... thats it though, if she bashes the biohazard guy, and then Sneaks into the medpod, no one would know. It looks like everyone else (David, the Merc, and Weyland/Wheelchair man) are all in another part of the ship ....

MemberOvomorphMay-16-2012 1:24 AMI think there is the hidden agenda to obtain alien tech and samples
Vickers says under no circumstances should they communicate or contact the aliens and should only report back. She probably knows they will do exactly the opposite.
Once Vickers finds out about the baby, she decides to hold Shaw and obtain the baby. Shaw then has to girl up to fight the company and the engineers. Hits the enviro suit guy and jumps into the biopod for a quick removal.
Still, Vickers and Shaw are running together at the end, so they "seem" to be working as a team. Vickers also seems to take the only rational actions I have seen in the movie, e.g., selfishly saves her own skin by getting into the escape pod, tell them no contact (Milburn should have listened!!), says "take us home", and seems like the only other skeptical person besides Fifield, who is described as the typical movie viewer who says, "don't go upstairs"===> Or, "I'm not touching it."

MemberFacehuggerMay-19-2012 9:38 PMThe guy is probably in the enviro suit because he knew what happened on the planet. And I think this is he moment that they restart Shaws brain after they find her body.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberOvomorphMay-19-2012 9:46 PMShaw hitting the hazmat dude is Warrior Shaw, and she comes to be until after being given the c-section, not before. She doesn't like Weyland Company after all the mess that occurs for its owner's crazy ambitions and the loss of her lover and crewmates during their doomed mission...

MemberOvomorphJan-07-2013 3:33 PMWhen the warrior Shaw comes into her own she takes charge.
This is a critical time for movie as Shaw seems to destined to cyro-sleep for the journey home.
David as smart as he is why niot ensure that Shaw would be suffiently under to have no problem with getting her off the table and moved .
On one hand we think David is somehow the center of this storyline and almost all knowing But with this scene can;t even make sure Shaw is under enough to transport back to earth.
However the scen where Ford to checking to see if Shaw is really out seems to be a little contrived. Would there have been other tests for Heath Care professional to check if a person is truly out of it and not faking it?
Obviously Shaw able to fool Ford and with everything that follows a pivotal point of the story.
The combination of David not giving enough medication and Ford not doing, what I percieve, a complete check of Shaw's status leadsd to the story we see on the screen.
But was it all a coincidence?
Maybe a technical point but still pivotal in the resulting story.

MemberOvomorphJan-07-2013 4:45 PMThat scene where Ford is trying to wake up Shaw - is that Rapace? Sure doesn't look like her. Bit chubbier in the face.

MemberOvomorphJan-07-2013 4:51 PMHey she was with 'child'..so to speak.
I am surprised she didn't ask for pickle flavored ice cream with her hormones all tossed about.

MemberOvomorphJan-07-2013 5:13 PMHave another look. Especially the longer shot of Shaw lying there - looks like someone else with Lapace's face digitized on.
And check at the x-rays - both David's and the one in the pod. Do spinal cords bend to the right like that. And where's squiddo in the second x-ray?

Indy John
MemberOvomorphJan-07-2013 7:15 PMWell javablue you have me watching scenes in slow motion. But you are right. At first glance before she wakes up it doesn't look like the Shaw we know. The face seems more rounded maybe your term fuller is more accurate. I played it a couple of times as to me I was not sure it was Shaw...but it must be.
I didn'theck the med pod xray at this time.
Let's back track a bit to an earlier scene where David says that she is pregnent.
It was striking to see Shaw reach oput and grasp David by the shoulders..imploring him to leither let her see it or remove it from her body.
She might have been a bit touchy-feely with Holloway but to see her grab onto David and hold on showed how intense she was in getting it out of her.
Now I have used the term 'it' for the alien in Shaw's body. Does Shaw feel like it was actually her child in some way? I mean does she feel any maternal instincts toward it since it is was a part of her body.
As viewers we can see this is an alien creature that, with the help of Holloway, has entered our world. But being her first 'child' and with all that she has mentioned about not being able to create life would she not be attached in some way to her first born.
The scientist in her could quickly decide to disconnect any mothery feelings toward it..but could the mother actually do the same?
