I personally think the head is just part of a massive robot, much like the giant Transformers robot METROPLEX! I think its obvious to everyone at this stage that METROPLEX gets woken up by the landing team and is annoyed. After squashing everyone with his giant robot feet he proceeds to Earth to exact his revenge. While making mince meat of Earths puny military defenses Godzilla shows and they proceed to fight to the death and just before METROPLEX'S killer blow we get a..... To be continued.....
