People are harsh on Americans doing other accents poorly why don't people hold the same standards to Europeans doing American accents? This is also assuming she's American in the movie, of course...

Accent? seriously? people have a lot of time in their hands to judge other persons race, accent, figure and wait, religion. I wonder what magic happens by criticizing others based on accent.

I don't know but this was the same discussion on youtube comments as well. I mean that is like digging too much. My previous comment was not aimed to OP by the way but towards such youtube posters who commented with these type of details.

Yes, the accent did manage to cover most areas of Western Europe, where English is would be spoken.

Just based on names alone, I would guess Shaw is supposed to be a limey. Of course, why Janek speaks with a southern drawl is beyond me.

her accent slips. i can tell cuase im swedish. but she´s doing a pretty okey job compared to other swedes trying to speak british. American accent is easier for us to mimic, its the way americans and swedes pronounce certain letters that makes it more similar. and a big reason is becuase we grow upp watching a lot of american films aswell. We never sound dub the films either, we use subtitles.
