Just been looking at the Weyland timeline and the entry about prisoners being rehabilitated. Establishment of HD 85512 b Weyland Industries awarded government contract to build and maintain HD 85512 b Class E Correctional Unit. Prisoners from Earth and other facilities are successfully relocated, and many have since been rehabilitated into society. August 18, 2042 It came to me that Fified could be a rehabilitated convict with his facial tattoo and his meek and scared personality.Once he witnesses Milburns fate and possibly being infected the work done with him reverts back and then he goes on his rampage in the docking bay?????

I think he's an Asian Conflict veteran. Mainly because he's wearing some sort of military fatigue jacket with what appears to be tour of duty patches on it. The tattoos are a further indicator of a former enlisted career. Weyland Industries becomes chief employer of Asian Conflict veterans supplying 35% with steady work. July 4, 2038 Of course, he could be an ex-soldier and an ex-con, I suppose.

Being infected would make sense and account for his head and neck swelling up and his face looking like that.

As unreliable as interviews and magazines could be, the Empire magazine article introduces Fifield and Milburn as a geologist and a botanist (therefore scientists) respectively. That doesn't exclude that he might have been a convict in the past (or still is). Anyway, I have known a fair amount of law-abiding geologists, and Fifield with his tattoos and haircut would fit quite well the category! :D

Ridley Scott will eventually tell us how the Queen was born. Right now we have the Deacon; coming soon the Mercury, the May and the Taylor.

*sigh* He's a geologist. The tattoos and clothing were the actor's own choice, nothing to do with the Riddles etc. Nothing to do with the story.
