Been reading a lot of comments made from people saying there going to be pissed off if the last 8 mins is not a direct link to alien. Why an earth would i want to go see a Ridley scott sci-fi film (the 1st hes done for a very long time) and know how the film ends, what a piss poor dissapointment of a movie that would be. I only hope his and lindeloffs imaginations are a lot deeper than some of the people whos comments ive read, If alls people want do do is sit in a chair for 2 hours just to see the beggining of a film that came out in 1979 they should just stay at home, i for one want to be scared shitless, knocked sideways and pleasently surprised at certain twists in the tale.

totally ... I'd rather it DIDN'T have the tie that in Ridders said it would ... if it IS ONLY the DNA then that's cool ... I'd love that ... then that gives me the space (pardon the pun) to imagine where and what and other stuff ...

i think they have been clever with all thats been leaked so far, i think theve leaked stuff to create an illusion of a storyline to mislead people but the stuff we have not seen (about 1 hour 55 minutes worth) will go in a totally different direction. Everybody thinks they have got it figured but they havnt, not even the actors have seen the final cut of the film, only scott and damon know, theres been no pre-screenings, no leaks, we are being manipulated to the right with the info we have but the story will go left.

i even wonder if the stuff weve seen is stuff Ridley has cut from the film so when we see it the stuff we have seen is stuff that hasnt all made it into the film. If theve made promo clips like the ted piece and david 8 advert why not just bung us a load of clips that are the edits of clips Ridley didnt want. Then we are all in for a surprise.

I don't like the way some people think "all" alien fans will be disappointed without a neat tidy link to Alien and all questions answered, as long as its a great film i really couldnt care less if i ever saw another xeno. I also find it incredible that people need to have a lable for things, reboot, prequel, prequel to prequel. 'Stand-alone-film' is the one that RS keeps using

The thing that gets me thinking is the new Shaw Yutani promo, it shows her Honesty levels dropping in the test, Theres a reason for that, there trying to tell us something.

Well my idea that i thought it could be would be at the end but in a flash back... so we see some scene at the end of Prometheus with Shaw and Vickers, and a open ended cliff hanger..... fade to black but not credits, Then go to a flash back set many many years prior to Prometheus which gives a explanation even slight about the Derelict on LV 426... Yes it would mean we know the end of the movie, but its not the end of the movie its just a flash back to tie in with Alien to tie up the lose ends and then shut the door on the Xeno Franchise. So the real ending would have ended like 8 mins prior..... But that dont seem to be the case now.

As long as the ending doesn't involve the characters' alternate reality selves meeting in a Baha'i church where Shaw confronts her father's empty coffin and flashbacks to the Island...and suddenly in a flash of white light everybody figures out that THEY WERE DEAD ALL ALONG... I won't be disappointed. I guess what I'm saying is, with Lindeloff in charge, I have fairly low expectations as to the resolution.
