when looking at the new Quiet Eye prome if you look in the bottom right of the screen you can see that the call is being taken by Peter Weyland. Shaw also refers to Mr Weyland in the video call, but if you go to the corporate timeline at weylandindutries.com Peter Weyland died before 2065 because a Memorial Librarywas built for him in Washington. If you look at the top of the screen in shaws video call, shes making the call in 2079 which is rougly 15 years at least since Peter Weylands Death. Back on the weylandindustries.com timeline it shows that in 2073 Weyland industries had classified knowledge of a new start system and they where putting together the project prometheus to go there, this was 6 years before shaw makes the video call to say shes found something he needs to know, but hang on 1. He already knows ? 2. Hes been dead for 15 years ? Something very sinister is going down.

this promo is showcasing DECEPTION, shes contacting Peter Weyland whos been dead for 15 years (shes being decieved or hes decieved people that hes dead) Shes telling him that she knows something, he then sends her on a new mission to explore (but hes known for 6 years about this star system and planet and the prometheus project has been developed 6 years before shaw contacts him) and Yutani are recieving the message through interception.

An old Peter Weyland can clearly be seen in some of the trailers, i cant explain why it would say he died though, as for the video call it is prob just Yutani tech that Weyland Industries is using.

Weyland would not use Yutani tech because Yutani are a bitter rival, if you read in the weylandindustries.com timeline Weyland sued Yutani because Yuatni tried stealing information on anadroid technology, Yutani are a chinese based company that are at war with Weyland in the same fields as they are. The video call is being illegaly intercepted by Yutani in a hope to steal information from Weyland.

@Rawr you mention that weyland is on the ship i have seen clips of him, but how is he still alive if it states he died before 2065. the prometheus mission isnt until after 2079, so how is an old man whos been dead for 15 years in a wheelchair on a ship.

It could be lies for whatever reason, why would she direct it towards Weyland if he's dead anyway, also the Yutani lawsuit was what like 60 years before so its possible they use there stuff now.

when i llok at the 3 promo vids all 3 vids contain people who in some way are liars, Weyland, David and Shaw. Weyland it seems is a dark bag of tricks, hes illusive never letting in on the true motives behind what hes up to. David hes an android hes capable of all unethical things because he has no consciounce, but Shaw ? In the video call when shes explaining her achievemts her Honesty bar plummets, then she says "This is not who i am, it is simply what i know" Stands out to me, i dont know why but it does. I know she bleeds red so she aint android but something aint right about her.

I was taught years ago when investigating the truth, look at the fine details, the hidden things. The promos are not for the majority of filmgoers this stuff will go over their heads, to them its a space movie and thats enough, but for Fanboys and addicts this stuff contains the hidden codes for important factors. The 3 promos include little gems that reveal a massive spine in the movie, look at them but dont look at the people in the vids thats s the deciept look around them and you will see all the answers. Look around the obvious centre and you will find the answers.

on weylandindustries they put in the timeline that they were capable of reactivating a dead human brain , so they could of brought him back to life then put in cryo and woken up at the end of the movie when they have their eternal life elixir :-) or so . just a thought

Seems possible but again if they build a memorial it's probably public knowledge then why would someone be directing there message towards an apparently dead Weyland to them atleast?

Maybe I'm naive, but I'm still skeptical about the certainty of Weyland being on the ship. I know, I know..."these pics! These pics have to be Weyland!!" I'm just saying...I'm not sure of that until I see what happens...during the movie.

Weyland site say that they can put a body in stasis for 50 years and reactivate brain activity of a deceased person. Weyland could be pronounced dead but be in stasis until the mission gets to the planet. He is then revived but is too weak to walk around and needs help/wheelchair.
