Have you heard of phoenix asteroids?

I am not sure, but i think movies usually get a pretest for Production crew and Editors to work out what needs cuts etc...
Then we would get test screenings which may usually miss out a few vital scenes and effects and not show the last scene or climax etc...
Then more closer to the Premier they would show a Pre Screening of the assumed complete movie to some press and indeed critics...
So we can assume that come next friday there could be Spoilers Galore...

Thanks, only know due to my irritatingly compulsive need to check reviews for upcoming movies to find out their star ratings and such. Trying my upmost to not go and read the prometheus review as I am concerned it might ruin the film.

I'm so jealous ...

Hey guys, new to discussions
Would just like to say the likes of Empire magazine and such will probably get early access as most of the reviews for movies they post online roughly 2-3 days prior to films release.

@Chr1s Welcome and thanks for the information! But what do you mean with film's release? The international one?

Thanks for welcome, well Im UK and the review site Empire is also UK so yes the international release, June 1. So I expect a review to arrive from them on roughly May 27th maybe 28th it can depend. There will also be one out for the Snow White film as it is out on the same day in the UK.

Fox pre screened in las angeles last week to prepare for the screening this week at Cannes, for the foreign critics. Stuff is leaking out from that pre-screen.

Watch it with an aesthetic mid set. You will not be disappointed.

Of course the visual experience wont be spoiled by the review, its more the rating and tidbits of information the review slips out that spoils the plot im worried about.
The star rating system is evil because the second you see them you instantly classify what category of decency the film is. With Prometheus I am praying for the Big 5 Stars

Oh i dont think the Magazines give in debth reviews untill after the movie is out.
They will be invited to see the movie and then review it and from those reviews they give * ratting and then a few comments... then their indepth reviews are published after the movie is out...
so we can expect.... ****** Ridley Scots Alien Prequel is pure masterpeice
Etc kind of reviews that can be used on posters and adds in Magazines and Papers....

It can depend on the company. I follow EmpireOnline quite a lot and noticed the review for The Avengers was out and about a couple of days before its release which in UK was April 11th I think...but I do definitely remember seeing the full review up because I read it two days before release date and was suprised by its result.

I review in SF. For most movies, we will get previews a few weeks in advance and can bring a guest. For Fox movies, it's tricky. My screening pass for Prometheus is 2 days in advance and I can bring no one. So yes, they will be doing advance showings ahead of time but it will be very close to the release date. I should also add, some advance screenings of movies are open to the general public if they sign up via a site or are on a list to be invited. This particular movie is not delivered that way which means those who see it early are not allowed to discuss. In my case, I get to see it early which is great but I can't blab about with anyone because I am sure I would be giving away spoilers to my friends who want to see it as well. It's great but also kind of sucks.
