CONNECTION???

I would say that yes.... There could be very minor hints that could lead us to assume more that the Xeno and Derelict on LV 426 had happened a long time prior to Prometheus. But then the movie will most likely end in a way and give some hints that make us assume maybe Prometheus will lead to a 2nd movie that will link to the Derelict on LV 426.... But i think what we are seeing here is basically as 1989 Batman is to Batman Begins... In that Batman Begings, goes back set before Batman, it tells in detail more of how Bruce Wayne becomes Batman..... its a different telling and Batman Begins does not lead directly at any point to Batman 1989 It does lead to The Dark Knight which is a retelling / reboot of Batman 1989 in that it tells us about how the Joker Came to by and is a Story about his confrontation with Batman..... thus same Universe, same base characters told in a a different fasion. A Prometheus 2 could go the same way, exploring a new creature or a rebooting of the orginal creature.

i think the SJ ship in prometheus is parked in a underground hangar, as showed in the trailers. it crashes as it tries to take of to go for earth, prometheus rams it and explodes, cuasing it to fall towards the ground. The SJ ship in alien crashed for another reason i think, probably becuase the pilot sj got inpregnated with a chestburster and died. But i do think they come from the same place, LV233, the planetoid in Prometheus. LV233 contains the ruins of a fallen civilisation that in tha past suffered some sort of apocalypse. the SJ/big blue guy/engineer in Prometheus could be the last of his kind, a survivor from ancient times. Maby the ship in alien on LV426 crashed as it tried to escape LV233.. and thats probably not the only SJ ship out there no...if my theory is correct there should be hundreds of them across the universe. I guess we will get some of our answers in about a week...

But why would they crash in the same system......only 2 planets apart? Space is mighty big ........unless they both has dealings on LV223.....in which case there would still be evidence of the Alien Eggs somewhere on LV223. No i still think were about to be fobbed off. The original Space Jockey was a creature in its own right.....no mention of blue men.

BIG DAVE Very good reply to my "connection" theory.Basically i hope more than one space jockey craft out there for me.....seems like the only two we know about at this stage have only crashed when close to a planet ( reasons for that). Take your Batman theory to be watertight no problem..... but i can only hope i'm right in thinking there will be a connection presented at some stage in future Prometheus movies to the first ALIEN movie

Sorry folks i'm a tad confused so correct me if i'm wrong.In the first Alien film a crashed space jockey craft not so in Prometheus just an inactive one until the arrival of Prometheus.?Hate to use this word is it posssible both craft are/were on the same mission( for want of a better word).
