Questions fron a s/f light weight.PROMETHEUS takes place in the 21st century?Which century does the ALIEN film take place in? Also i can't help thinking both films are therefore seperate encounters IF centuries apart ?

Prometheus mission: 2073 Alien movie: 2122 They're both two entirely seperate encounters. The Prometheus movie will answer questions about the Engineers/Space Jockeys and their significance. If another is made, it'll probably give way into the xenomorph.
