im still mulling over the significance of the large hole outside the temple door,i wonder if the huge tentacled thing actually comes from down it.maybe a sort of guardian of the gate/head of security etc.any thoughts

There are large archway openings to buildings all over planet earth, it doesn't necessarily mean we have large tentacle monsters that pass through them.
