To the staff and admins of this site: Thank you so much for your time and efforts that you have put into making this an awesome site! I don't care if this is a duplicate thread, we cant thank you enough. Some general questions out of curiosity: * Is there a mission control (do you all work from one place), or is the site staff distributed (like in Uruguay, Kazakhstan, New Jersey (hey-I used to live there too), etc)? ** Approximately how much time do each of you donate to the site? Again, thanks so much. It has made the interminable wait bearable, and has shown me how numerous, intelligent, and generally funny the fans of this series are. Thanks!!!

I live in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, but am a British expatriate so "l understand where the pain comes from" ; ). I'm on here most non-sleeping/non-bathing hours...LOL. Alien/Prometheus mean a lot to me because of that same nagging itch that Sir Riddley has/had. What was that derelict ship on LV-426? Who was that fused into that pilot chair? Why was that cargo being carried? ...and why do I temporarily forget all of that as soon as the "chestburster" scene hits. Whether or not I am staff, I would spend the same amount of time here anyway. I enjoy talking with the other members here and sharing in what is to become a major movie milestone in the history of movie-making. I too consider it a privilege to be able to serve the community and try to help keep our standards high and the site fun. Thank-you for the recognition! I'd like to thank BugHunter for putting in all his time and energy to put a site like this together (coded from scratch), the other staff members that I work with and, last but not least, YOU....the community that makes THIS all happen!

Most of this site's structure is Bughunter's creation, so he is the guy to thank. Thanks for the kind words! The staff's locations are spread out, mostly in North America and Western Europe from what i gather. Each of us probably spend way more time here than anyone would like to admit, but mostly because it's a blast. If you ever feel overly-generous, you can donate to the site here.

Thank you. I am in Montreal, Canada !!! I do anywhere from about about 5 to 7 or 8 or more Hours on avg. day. Just 'Cause. Love Ridley, Loved Alien ! Dad gave me the Prototype Doll used to make the original Xeno From Kenner in '79 right before the premier of the film, which parents later had pulled from the shelves because they felt it was too disturbing for children! IMHO, the gents at FOX should fly you all out to the premier for all of your efforts. It is, after all, helping their movie as well. Speaking of memories, when I was about 13 or so, my stepdad flew out and gave me an Alien comic book. Not hardback, but large size, very well done. I used to pore over that, and kept it for years. Lost it in the moves since then, but it does bring back memories.

Great thread... maybe all the staff could post here with a quickie 2-3 paragraph bio type deal like Sparty and Shaw (formerly known as CYPHER, my nemesis who thinks Noomi is actually in love with HIM and not ME, lol) have done??

S&B; I did see your post. The way my mind works sometimes, I'll see something, let it roll around in my head for a while, and may later think it was My original idea (yikes!). I am happy to pick up the baton and carry it forward. Very cool to see people giving credit for the time and efforts that go into this site. Also, I love the "coffee monster"! Great stuff.

Thanks so much Ngranek....I live in the north west suburbs of Chicago, Illinois......I'm here, ON DUTY, 2-4 hours a day on average I'd say....... Alien is just my all time favorite film and Prometheus is the answer to maybe seventeen years or so of dreaming that Ridley would come back to this universe...I'm like a giddy ten year old, pretty much all the time and my service here is a labor of love for what I consider to be as about as pure and perfect a film as you'll find in Alien and a movie I can only pray and hope will be brilliant.......Prometheus I may be here because of all of that, but I stay and I volunteer my time on the staff because of you guys and gals out there, making this site the place that it is - with the standards that it's known for.....Thank You all for building the kind of community we enjoy together and that I take as a privilege to serve....Thanks again...

abordoli-I confess I did not read all of the script on your linked page (not even sure if I saw that one). When I hear "the pain", I immediately think of Dr. Smith in "Lost in Space" ("Oh, the pain...")- not to diminish your pain of course. Dr. Smith has become somewhat of a meme in our house (that and Fred Sanford - "Its the big one Esta, its the big one! -(holding hand to heart)" I agree about the pilot, and I hope this one takes us there-to the answers... You all do a great job! I have found that I too am here... a lot. I keep coming back because its a great site, with lots of cool info and discussion, and sometimes things take an interesting turn... Thanks! BTW-what is your avatar? It looks like a predator f*****g with an alien who happens to be in a ...shower...and not digging it too much. Is that from a movie? Why didn't the alien just "get out"?

I prefered the fevered dream state I was in -_-
Posted May-26-2012 5:49 PM | Moderate To the staff and admins of this site: Thank you so much for your time and efforts that you have put into making this an awesome site! I'm here MOST of the time, barring the last week where I could barely recognize where I was, let alone function to any sort of human capacity ie walk, talk, eat, shower etc. Today is the first day in over a week I've been outside my bedroom I think? No, can't be, I have to have eaten or had something to drink, gone to the toilet, surely.......... I don't remember :-S I'm lucky enough to be able to be on the site at work so it's always open in a window somewhere ;-)

Great stuff. @Ngranek; Nice one N. It's cool to see that people supported my first post, speaking as a newbie on here. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! (.....bit like Shaw then....probably.....ha!) Pleased you enjoyed the Coffeecritter too! I was thinking about posting the receipe so everyone could grow (sorry, cook) one for themselves, but I reckon I'd better try and clear it with the big guys upstairs first.....They might stick me in one of dem muriels where I'd have to endure the 'attentions' of Cobralien for a few millenia, or summat......eekk!!!!!!!!!! I actually heard a rumour that the Coffeecritter is nothing compared to what Holloway discovers in the crew's biscuit tin......(McVities digestives will never be the same again....!) @craigamore; You are a gent sir, and your blood is worth bottling (or sticking in an ampule!) Actually, maybe we could have a sample and use it to develop internet forums of less advanced species out there in the universe....(mind you, see paragraph above.....eeekkk again!!!) We'd need to figure out a suitable 'delivery system' though....Maybe we could lure them all in with a special 'America's-Britain's-Spane's (sorry, Spain's...)-insert country of choice-Got Talent/X-Factor' thread and sort 'em out that way,......DOUBLE HUGE EEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!! All I know is, if it leads to world peace and the abolition of capitalism, it might be worth 'taking one for the team'....! Just think about it is all I'm saying......! (Ha!) @abordoli; See above, and likewise to your good self (and other staff.) Hope you're on the mend now and doing good. :) Thanks again everyone for making me feel so welcome. It's nice to be able to share thoughts with people who so obviously feel the same passion about all this. What a great resource we all have in this most excellent forum.
