That scene where you see the prometheus ship crash into the juggernaut. Im thinking the original crew have that forbidan fire locked up in the prometheus ship and are wanting to take off back to earth with it.
As the ship reaches higher speeds to make it out into space David gets Dr. Elizabeth Shaw's plea to not let them take the "fire" back to earth and so he launches the juggernaut out into the sky. Merideth Vickers realises their plan to ram them quickly jumps into the escape pod and gets away. The pilot in the prometheus wasnt able to maneuver pass the juggernaut in time crashes into it.
survivors prolly gets punished by the other jockeys..

I suspect that any critique of this theory based on the ORDER that images appear in the trailer is flawed. I am increasingly swayed by the idea that the croissant is trying to stop the Prometheus. The most persuasive image to me is the one in the recent "visions" featurette that shows it turning TOWARDS the Prometheus.
Now, I can't deny that I am assuming that the arms of the croissant actually point FORWARD in flight. But, if that is the case, it does appear that it appears to hold it's ground and turn towards the Prometheus.
Also, who knows what message might have reached the SJ'/Whoever is flying the croissant. Just because it has managed to lift off first doesn't necessarily mean it is the one trying to flee?

I think the biggest query is Shaws "if we dont stop them" from "it"
Then again "them" does not have to mean Engineer, Weyland or David.
If the ship had a cargo of Killer Tentacle Dogs from Mars.... you could take "f we dont stop them" as being a reference to what is being used as Cargo and not who is piloting the ship.

your title is a lie!!! a LIE !!!!!!!
EDIT: well, actually, I have now read your post and disagree with you... which makes my joke all the more suited hehe! Thx for sharing ideas anyway

I've seen this suggestion before and, personally, I find it very, very hard to see how people get to a place where it's the Juggernaut ramming the Prometheus - based on what we've seen?
One particular issue I see with what you have said here is that we can observe that the Juggernaut is already in flight - and Prometheus is, quite evidently, in trail?
David could not, then, have launched the Juggernaut in pursuit, as those positions would be reversed?
I think this is one case where things must be as it would first appear they are: the Prometheus positioning itself in intercept of the Juggernaut - and firing itself like a missile...

plus, direction and camera position/framing convey a meaning, in such scenes. I mean, I am no director myself but there are tacite conventions, a 'visual vocabulary' in filmmaking/storytelling that makes people interpret what they see correctly.
The images of the crash we see show 'the Prometheus crashing into the juggernaut', that is: the camera is on the Prometheus occupying the left 2/3rds of the screen and tracking it in right lateral view when it crashes, featuring it as the one 'having the active role/ the source of the action happening'. Not the other way around.
Plus, the image of Janek screaming some 'kamikaze' war cry (can't remember exactly what).

In later clips, I think it sounds like Janek is shouting 'heads up'.....maybe...?

yeah but looking at the 3 trailers that came out plus the teaser is like watchin the movie in short. Maybe ridley is making it it seem that the prometheus is stopping the juggernaut but maybe its actually the other way round. David may not be flying the juggernaut but maybe he is part of the reason that the thing is in the air cus you see him fiddling with the controls. The promethues ship doesnt seem like a ship that maneuvers very well.
And how is my titlte a lie? because this is all about my thoughts in talk prometheus. If the Juggernaut was heading to earth on its own it will be destroyed because civilization on earth is really advanced for its time so Im sure the juggernaut will get estroyed especially on its own against earths forces.
The only way earth could get destroyed is the thing "fire, pandoras box" whatever is let through as cargo aboard the prometheus. Where it refers to the tale of the title.

...?....
I'm suddenly very interested why is it that you seem so much to want to believe that the Juggernaut is ramming Prometheus - despite so much evidence to the contrary?
@iapetus has actually positioned this very, very well.
Added to which, we've seen the Juggernaut power-up while the Prometheus is still grounded.
We've seen the Prometheus lift-off - while the Juggernaut has already cleared ground.
We've seen the Juggernaut at altitude, with the Prometheus, in trail, at a lower altitude and in nose-up pitch.
We've been given numerous visual and aural clues as to the sequence of events being that the Juggernaut has left and the imperative is for it to be stopped.
We are led to conclude that the Prometheus answers that imperative by ramming the Juggernaut - that conclusion re-inforced with an impact shot, of Prometheus, ramming it's nose into the Juggernaut's chest while the Prometheus engines seem set at "Full Rage".... ...but you would now say it is the other way around?
It doesn't make full sense to me.
That would have to be to say, that the pilots of the Juggernaut, already with a lead on Prometheus, decide to throw their lead down the toilet - in order to turn and ram the Prometheus, which is in trail - and thereby ram themselves out of the air in the process?
When there is nothing to lose, I understand that action - but where there is nothing to gain and everything to lose?....
The Prometheus is established as non-agressive Scientific vessel - it has no options and no weapons suitable for the job except itself.
We don't know the exact capabilities or role of the Juggernaut, but if they are the premeditated aggressors of an advanced Species, you'd imagine they would be equipped as premeditated aggressors of an advanced Species and that, as premeditated aggressors of an advanced Species, they'd have better options at their disposal for disposing of some silly Earth ship than by ramming it and crippling themselves into the bargain?
I'm finding that what you're suggesting makes a simple sequence of events almost impossibly complicated and I find it hard to accept - I'd like to know how you've managed to rationalise it.

So the Space Jockey is going to commit Grand Theft Auto in Space, so cool, that I gotta see man lol

@Danielfallz
I, for one, think this is a plausible scenario, and I'm pleased to see @allinamberclad apply his usual logical argumentation to try to debunk it.
I do not believe we've seen enough of this scene to properly interpret it.
I think it's quite possible that Janek does not intend to destroy Prometheus.
There are some visuals that may relate to the pursuit scene - and suggest "surprise", rather than "determination":
- Janek looking out of the ship with eyes and mouth agape yelling "heads-up";
- a clear shot of Janek standing casually at the forward console, with the Juggernaut visible in the sky beyond;
The Juggernaut, shaped as a croissant, is not "airworthy". Yet, by plot device, it flies. So who says it can't move in some unpredictable way that would surprise a human viewer?
