I've just been reading french reviews and if this turns out to be another Lost we campaign for Lindelof to be blacklisted from the industry... I tried to convince myself that Lost ending was original, brave, etc, but you know what, it wasn't...it was just a f*****g waste of time and Lindelof just cannot consummate. If he Prometheusit this time just get LOST PS sorry for emotional comment but I just love Alien and Aliens too much

Honestly I think you guys are overreacting. The movie did get good reviews but not everybody is gonna like it. Blade Runner did awful in box office and initially wasnt received well at all. Look at it now, it's a benchmark in sci fi movie history. It's inevitable for some ppl not to appreciate Ridley Scott's subtleties and attention to detail. If everybody (the average movie goer) goes to see the movie and love it chances are the hardcore fans (aka "us") will probably hate its mainstream-ness.... We want something unique something different and most ppl prefer a straight foreward cliche storyline

Prometheus should do fine. What matters is that I'm going to see it when it comes out. It's possible that this movie isn't for everybody, but it would say a lot about the movie-going community if they prefer certain other movies over Prometheus.....I mean, TDKR is sure to be good as well, but it's a given that it'll be good because of what it is, but TDKR doesn't have some of the things you'd fine in Prometheus, though most movie-goers are likely to not understand what Prometheus has, hence mainstream preferences and such....

I tried to stay optomistic, even when I heard Lindelof was involved. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He better not screw with my answers I've been waiting 20 years for -_o or there'll be some serious paper-bag action on his front porch. Friggen' hack he is.

I respect the notion to remain calm until have to opportunity to see the movie for our selves, but as many has pointed out its that overwhelming uncertainty of the Lindelof-effect (which is similar to the M. Night Shyamalan curse) causing people like Cypher and myself to leave dump trucks full of fine colon deposits on the doorstep, bed, dining room table of the Lindelof residence! Damon: Hey Ridley, the studio said we should end the movie with a Giger designed question mark and that will be the connection to ALIEN and the new LOST spinoff. Ridley: FTS, I'm signing this movie directed by Alan Smythee!

I do think it would be a mistake to believe that we're going to get every answer we might seek. It appears that we're getting an answer to the question of who the Space Jockeys are, and what they've been up to. We'll probably also learn something about what motivates them. However, chapter and verse as to exactly why, what and how, wouldn't leave us with much of anything left to talk, or simply wonder about.

100% agree - the writers have to do more than insert a few creative ideas/images from a dream into a TV show (LOST). Hoping for better from this movie.

Why not wait to see the movie before talking about destroying someone's career?

Its seems to me that the film may just expain a bit more as to who or what "the big guy in the chair" was. I'm not expecting a direct prequel to alien, and frankly dont want one. too many people condemn Lindelof for what in thier opinion was a bad ending to Lost but they forget it was his writing that had them watching in the first place. I feel that quite a few seriies had bad endings Lost. BSG. All the Trek stuff ect. but what i mostly remember is the ride not so much how it ended.

He's no storyteller, story structure has a beginning, middle and an end. His crap never seems to end, just trail off like Chief Wiggum leaving you wondering what the hell the point was and wishing you could get the time you wasted watching anything with his name on it back

I remember a week or two ago. Someone posted up a thread about The Avengers, and whether or not Prometheus will be able to top it. Men In Black 3 has just beaten Avengers...Soo... I think it's safe to say Prometheus will decimate Avengers in regards to money generated. Regardless. I just threw this in here because... i don't know what the hell you're talking about. I hope that makes you happy.

Lindelof is the kind of person we all know. He wants to know all about you. But he never reveals anything about himself.
