Solo Cinema

No way. I love flying solo to the movies.

I've done this on many an occasion. It allows you to focus on the movie, and to gauge the reactions of the audience.

Well if it is then I'm sad too! I intend going to PROMETHEUS solo, in fact I wish I could have the cinema all to myself!

I usually go alone but not always....today I checked my booking at birmingham imax friday lunchtime, and it is totally booked out and I'm smack in the centre!

Usually I don't go alone, as I find it a bit sad. But that's when I am looking for simple entertainment. I am more than happy to go alone for Prometheus (at least for the first viewing), as I want to be focused on it exclusively.

....i have dined alone..table for 1...so don't feel sad...lol

@Juxtapose, you just made me a sad panda. You mention the only thing I find sadder than going solo to a movie (except for special events, like this one). Oh, wait. Also going to a pub and have a beer all alone... oh my... :'(

@ Charles....oh gawd..lol...don't feel sorry!...i am a gay single man...i go threw stages where i am completely unattached...then i go out by myself...to dinner...to movies ...to bars or whatever...even when i shop. I love company and I have some good friends....but sometimes the loneliness suck....i just have extremely high expectations and not very high self esteem right now....but I am working on it...tho being alone...it does'nt really trouble too much...yes it sucks...but i would rather be alone than be with a person I don't feel comfortable with....I am a strange cat!

Just booked my ticket for 12.01 Friday morning, going alone as the wife ain't a big sci-fi fan and is working on Friday (i have the day off for childcare). Think the last movie i saw alone was Attack of the Clones when i was working in Aberdeen for a few days. Can't wait to see it, don't feel like a billy-no-pals at all going one my own, get to focus on the movie, plus will probably go back and see it again in a weeks time with the wife/and or friends.

Solo movies is sometimes the BEST way to go, when you want to "engage"---I saw "Saving Private Ryan" and "Pi" both "solo", and wouldn't have had it any other way...
