Wow....David seems to be the douche at least in this scene...I'm gatherin that the room was sealed and temperature controlled from the look of the frost on the lid of the ampule and then they appear to be melting or oozing contents as the room heats up...? so the Xeno mural is a separate mural altogether from the main mural...interesting....can not wait to see this movie...I have tickets for the Thurs 12am showing in the States before it's official Fri release!!!

I wonder if the Alien-looking mural will change to a more human looking mural if it all changes. Can't wait!

The background music for this scene seems to take away the effect of the scene.....but then again I tend to set very high expectations of things, which is my problem. Now if they're using this background music after something more amazing they discover, then I guess it's okay. But otherwise, the first discovery of this room ought to yield some more breathtaking music.....or if not music, then some kind of ambience, and perhaps leave out the background music in order to take in the awe-inspiring scene around you....until the murals change and something bad's about to happen. Not saying I'm thinking lower of this movie, mind you. I just tend to be a critic sometimes.

I just noticed something upon an additional viewing...I wonder if it's same technique used in Alien with the top of the egg where they filmed droplets of water backwards to create the weird effect of water moving upwards during the egg top closeups---in a similar manner, the frost on the top of the ampule David is looking at appears to be growing in the same manner! maybe it's just my eyes but it definitely caught my attention and since it's the film equivalent of the egg perhaps another nod to Alien...?

That is an awesome clip. David seems so self-assured and hellbent on pushing forward. Shaw is scared shitless.....and rightfully so.

.....the music they using is "going in"...my fav track....but missing the thumping sound...what i like about this track is how it slowly builds up....but it doesn't happen in this scene...maybe some of the tracks are played more than once?

@Gigers Dream Actually the tops of the ampules are covered in fine dust. What you see real quickly moving on the ampule top is when very tiny hard to see worms (that we see enter Holloways eye) fall from the ceiling (from the changing mural) making tiny craters in the dust when they land on it.
