May 31, 2012What exactly is the problem with calling the original creature a xenomorph? Is it that it's from Cameron's movie and not Scott's? Just don't get that. Those two films are the best of the bunch. Neither one necessarily negates the other.
In fact, if you keep the whole Dallas cocoon scene it can easily be reconsiled with the Queen by saying that the Alien is highly adaptive and has been engineered to succeed in a wide variety of environments. It can reproduce in the absence of a Queen inorder to establish a colony and then a Queen. This would be precisely why the creature can form from different species. If they truely were a weapon, it would make sense that they could take over an indigenous population quickly. The lone Micheal Meyers method would only work in a limited population environment.
At any rate, there is little or not reason to not refer to it as a Xenomorph. The alternative is to call it CainAlien. So .... Anyone seen pics of the latest version or perhaps a drawing?
